Amatis

I hear Jace and Simon's footsteps causing me to lazily open my eyes and look at them with my eyes half-lidded.  Simon looks surprised as I stretch lazily before sitting up in a reclined position while I watch Jace's every movement. His eyes flicker over to mine as he sits next to Aline, but otherwise he ignores my presence causing me to roll my eyes. I lean back into the chair the way I was before, but I keep my eyes on everyone in the room as I listen to all their conversations without actually paying attention to the words they are saying. At least until I hear my brother strike up a conversation with Simon about everything that is going on.

"If you don't mind my saying so, you seem a little quiet." It is Sebastian, leaning over the back of Simon's chair with a disarming smile.

I give a small smile before getting up from my spot and lazily stretching causing everyone to look my way. I raise an eyebrow at them and sigh when they don't look away from me. I walk towards the stairs before climbing them with unhurried steps. I'm basically avoided by Aline and Jace now that he is here and Izzy is hesitant to still be friends with me considering I left with my father. Alec it just depends on his mood for the day, but most days he watches over me like he used to which causes me to give a small smile. Simon and Clary avoid me like I have the plague anytime they see me outside which would have hurt a long time ago, but I've begun sealing myself off. My brother and father are a bit wary because of my tails and ears, but I know that they care what happens to me at least. My words to Jace back at the fight in Dumort are just becoming true and I can't feel any sadness over the fact. The people who swore a long time ago that they would protect me from anyone who would hurt me are deserting me and I'm beginning to wonder what I'm even doing here posing as if I care. I heave a sigh before opening the window to my bedroom jumping down to the ground without them knowing.

"Jade what are you doing?" I hear my brother say from my window causing me to look up.

"I'm going for a walk to clear my head. I'll be back soon enough."

He nods and I take off without anyone knowing what I am doing besides him causing me to give a smirk. I walk down the familiar roads feeling the need to walk these particular roads which confuses me. It has been years since I have been here, but my mind still remembers where I am going and how to get there quickly. I knock on the door and hear someone coming before the door is opened so the occupant may look out into the night to see who is here at this time. I give a small smile causing her eyes to widen in shock before backing away with a worried look. I enter behind her with a blank face giving a delicate sniff no one would normally notice unless they are closely looking at me causing me to furrow my brows at the scents.

"Lucian and Clary are here, but that's impossible. Clary wasn't supposed to have come here because he told us that she didn't want to come. He lied to us about what actually happened to Clary."

"I don't understand what you mean Jade. Lucian and this Clary you are speaking about are not here nor have they ever been here."

"Lucian has just left considering his scent is dissipating from the air, but Clary's scent is just as strong as when I arrived meaning she is still here yet he left her. Meaning that they came illegally to Idris and he couldn't be seen so he left under the cover of darkness. Lead me to her and I'll help heal my baby sister from whatever is wrong with her."

"You can't help her because she swallowed water from Lake Lyn. I imagine a warlock may have been able to help her, but she will be fine. She is just exhausted from hallucinations and she needs to sleep."

"I was only being polite Amatis because I only need to follow her scent where she is and I was giving you the courtesy of showing me where she is. If you wish to not show me where she is then I will follow her scent upstairs."

A war of emotions play out across her face before she huffs and walks to her kitchen leaving me in her living room causing me to sigh. I can see that the sun is beginning to rise meaning I was sleeping for a while earlier before Simon and Jace came down. I walk up the stairs to the room where I can smell Clary is and quietly open the door hoping she is still asleep from drinking Lake Lyn like a dumbass. I close the door behind me before padding over to her still form and if I couldn't see her chest moving I would have thought her dead with how still and relaxed her body is. I kneel next to the bed before putting my hands to her chest letting my powers flow down my hands like Magnus taught me to. I close my eyes seeing the colour shimmer around us barely recognizing the sound of the door opening in the back of my mind as I finish. My eyes flutter open to see the horrified look on Amatis' face before she leaves the room as Clary begins waking up. I lean against the wall feeling exhausted from using my powers on very little sleep again.

"What are you doing here?" Clary queries causing my eyes to flicker towards her.

"Healing you from where you drank Lake Lyn like a dumbass. You really shouldn't drink water from places you know nothing about."

"How did you find me and why are you in Idris?"

"Well it's wonderful to know that you are aware you are in Idris. I came here to reminisce about the times I spent at this house when I smelled you and Lucian peeking my interest considering I was told you decided not to come with the Lightwoods. Although I suspected from the get go that it was a lie. You're welcome by the way and I'm leaving now that you are fine because I need to sleep."

"Stay away from the Lightwoods and Jace! I don't want you to hurt them!" She says with a fierce look that causes me to sigh.

"If I really wanted to hurt them I could have done it earlier while we were in the same household. I can't exactly stay away from them when we are in the same house either Clary. I know you don't trust me after everything that has happened, but I would never hurt them."

"You let our father kill Simon!"

"Actually, contrary to popular belief I was in the middle of a vision when our father killed Simon again. I warned him away from you, but like the love-sick puppy he is he just couldn't stay away. Raphael only brought him to the Institute because he knew I would rather you have a choice about what would happen to him. He could have let the Coven rip Simon to shreds without you any the wiser, but because he knows how much I care for you he brought him to the Institute. You all think I did it for no reason when everything is quite opposite to what you believe. Good Night Sister."

Before she can say anything more I slip out the window of the room silently landing on the ground. I quickly make my way back to where I am staying where my brother is waiting outside for me with an upset look. He takes in my demeanor and appearance before he allows me into the house without asking any questions. Jace looks my way when I enter and anger flickers in his gaze, but I could care less at this point. I slip up to my room before falling on the bed falling asleep instantly.
