Matthews POV

I hugged her, she was already broken to the core. I knew she wanted to cry and breakdown, but she hated to show weakness. The thing that she didn't know about herself is that you can see what she is feeling my her eyes. When she was angry, her eyes would turn really dark shade of red

Sad-gray with a light blue rim around it.
Depressed- brown

The only eye color I never got to see was when she is happy. She would always be sad or in such a depressing state where her eyes would almost look black.

She cried into my shoulder, finally getting the emotions that were trapped inside of her free. When she was done, she quickly wiped her eyes and looked down at her feet.
She always does this when she was embarrassed or nervous. Again, I put my finger under her chin to lift her head up.

"You know its ok to show you also have feelings to the world. You don't always have to be brave." I say in a comforting voice.

She looks up at me with her beautifully sad grey eyes and says "Can I please stay at your house?"

I knew that question was going to come up eventually. I did the right thing

"of course you can"

I look inside my pocket to find her bracelet still in there. I pull it out and hand it to her.

She looks at it with surprise, then unconsciously checks her wrist. "Where did you find that at?"

"You dropped it when you were running to the bridge"

She takes it away from my hand slowly, afraid that it will disappear. "Thank you, Matt"

I feel my body tingle. I knew that was my nickname, everyone called me that. It was the way she had said it, with so much care in it. I smile, this time for real, "it was the least I can do for you"

I see her smile, but it goes away quickly. She starts walking, and I follow her.

"Can you show me your house?"  She asked, even though she already knew where I live. At least she was being respectful.

"Yeah, we have to walk though, I didn't take a car with me"

"Walking helps clear my head, so that's fine if we do."

30 minutes later
(I don't know what to write while they are walking)

When we arrive at my house, she stays in the doorway, staring at the door.

I slowly walk back to her and put my hand on her shoulder. "Hey, are you coming inside?"

She suddenly snaps out of the trance that she was in and steps inside the house. She looks around, memorized as if she hasn't been in a real house in a while.

"Do you mind if I explore your house?" Archer says, her eyes with a little spark of wonder.

"I mean, you will be staying for a while." I said, kinda distracted by the wonder in her eyes, I have never seen that before.

She gives me a hug, squeezing me. "Thank you Matt, I may not want to be here, but you were the only one who cared enough to look for me."

I felt my heart pounding in my ears, and smiled at how cute she was... I shake my head and hugged her back. "Like I said, even if it doesn't seem like it, I really do care about you."

There are moments like this where you appreciate life and the ones that you care about. Moments where you just have to be grateful that you have what you have.
