Matthews POV

In the car, I could tell that something was troubling her so, me trying to be a good friend, asked her "are you alright? We can turn back now if you really don't want to go"

"Its not that, its just" she tears her gaze from the window and focuses it on me "what will it do about my family, my ex girlfriend, and my old friends when they find out that I didn't really commit suicide."

I know that this would come up eventually, her being worried about others, and not herself. It was already enough that she didn't go through with it because I was there. But now she has to face the people that she had also written to that, practically saying ' hey, that was a joke, I didn't really commit suicide' then be called an attention whore for the rest of the school year. And is knew that she was thinking the same thing to by the way she fiddled with her lip between her teeth.

"You don't have to go to school, you can stay at my house for as long as you need like I said. But as for your parents, you need to go up to them, so they can see that you are alive, and maybe appreciate what they are without you." I say, trying to make my point across.

"I bet they still won't care if I was dead or alive." She says, with so much hate in her voice, it could really burn something with it.

"Let's not talk about this now, we are supposed to go and eat." I say, trying to change the subject and not get her all depressed again. I like the side of her, when she is relaxed, where got can see that she is almost happy.

Rolling her eyes playfully, she said "that's fine by me"

We pulled into one of her favorite restaurants. I look over at her and slightly flinched by the sudden punch in the shoulder.

"Are you kidding me?! Why must you bring me to IHOP, knowing that is one of my faves. I knew that this was a trap!" She mumbled while we got out of the car.

"I really hate you, you know that." She said staring right in my eyes. Her eyes were now a really light grey that was noticeable and pretty.

"Say that all you want, But this is where we are eating at" I say, grabbing her hand because she was gonna be stubborn and stands outside the door.

1 hour later

When we finally got home we were stuffed. We had a pancake eating contest, which we soon regretted when we got kicked out of IHOP for 'being disrespectful and fighting'. It wasn't our fault that I couldn't make it to the bathroom in time, then accidentally throwing up on the guy! After getting home, we just talked. About life, friends, family, anything that came to mind. When it was time for bed, she hugged me and said "whatever you do, please don't ever let me go."

While I was going over what we were talked about I realized that we never talked about the real problem.

Will she ever try again, and this time succeed  in finally getting away for the living hell that we call earth?
