No one's POV
Today, they had agreed that it was a relaxing day. Just staying inside, being lazy for once and for no one to bother them. They deserved it, right?
Deciding to just lay in bed, Archer looked up at the ceiling, her eyes tracing over the patterns like she has done many times. Matt lying next to her, his eyes closed and in a peaceful sleep. Brushing some hair out of his face, she looked at his facial features.
She admired him, his face relaxed when it was usually tense with worry. His chest raising slowly up and down. She had seen this scene before, but she was happy that it was more close up and not through a camera lens. A feeling started to grow in her as she thought back on her life.
Archer shook her head, getting up and heading to the kitchen, wanting to surprise the boy who lie in bed so delicately. Unlike him, she could actually cook though she didn't feel like it most of the time.
Matt woke up to the smell of something cooking, and it actually smells good. He looked up at the ceiling, sighing as he decided to get up. Dragging his feet on the floor, he walked down the stairs stretching his arms out, being sore from sleeping the wrong way again.
The sight he saw when he went to the kitchen was the least bit, hilarious. Archer was on top of the counter, getting a plate down from one of the cabinets that were apparently out of her reach. He tried not to laugh as she jumped off the counter and almost fell. Matt was leaning against the doorway, looking at Archer as she was cooking. Archer was flipping the pan, and out of nowhere, Matt hears
"Well, are you just gonna stand there staring at me, or are you gonna help set the table?"
Archer looked up, and met Matthew's eyes, he looked away and rushed to get the plates she had left on the counter.
"How long did you notice me right there?" Matthew asked, not wanting to be awkward
"Since you came own the stairs, you just kind of have that presence. Plus, who wouldn't notice when you were staring at me so intensely. " Archer tried to hold in a giggle as she saw Matthew's face turn sort of red from embarrassment.
Matthew shakes his head, mumbling shortie as he places the plates and silverware on the table.
They finish eating, and he thanks her for the food. She nods her head and sort of smiled, being glad that he enjoyed what she made. They both head to the living room, deciding on a movie night for their night in. She goes upstairs, deciding on getting blankets and pillows. Archer changes into some shorts and a baggy shirt that was on the bed and heads back downstairs where Matthew was laying down on the couch, scrolling through Netflix to see what's good to watch. He looks up when he hears the sound of footsteps by the couch. Archer heads to the kitchen to make popcorn and tries to find his not so secret candy stash he has.
"you know that's my shirt right?" Matthew says, looking back at the TV as he continues scrolling.
"whatever, not like you are wearing it anyway. Imma keep it, it's comfy" Archer finds the candy and puts the popcorn on. She walks into the living room, hitting his leg to indicate to move. Matthew stretched out more, and she rolls her eyes. Archer jumps over the couch and flops down on Matthew's stomach. He lets out an oof and sighs
"You aren't keeping the shirt, I actually like it. And get off me, you're heavy" he whines, not even attempting to push her off. Instead he makes her lay down, cuddling.
"Dont care, I like it so I'm keeping it", Archer lays down and gets comfortable on Matthew's chest, " Not even that heavy, you're just weak".
After spending so much time together, Archer noticed that it was getting easier to talk to him. He seemed comfortable as well, seeming to relax more as she was on his chest. He moved his arm, picking a random movie and starts to sort of running his hands in her hair. Archer looks up at Matt, and just admires him. She knew that he was stunning, but he looked more with the soft glow of the television being the only light right now in the house. In the dark, he looked relaxed, more happy in a way from the first time they had meet.
She finally smiles a full smile, and it stayed on her face as she pays attention to the movie, sighing as Matt continues to pets her. The microwave beeps, as Archer realizes she forgot about the popcorn. Matt pushes her off, saying that he'll get it as he places a light kiss on her forehead. Archer blushes slightly. Matthew hurries to the kitchen, and writes down another reads on the fridge, the one he had erased before. He didn't know if it was the time for it then, but he knows now. He feels butterflies in his stomach as he re reads what he wrote. 'At least I'm kind of admitting it' he thought. Matt hurries back to the kitchen and lays back down on the couch, Archer soon following him as she lies back down on his chest.
They both changed for each other, and it was for the good. She just hopes he doesn't find the photos of him. He hopes that it would last longer than her.
An: Hey, I'm kinda back. sorry that this is short still, but its still going somewhere. Writers block is a pain, but finally got through it and I'm glad that I could get a chapter out after all this time. Hope you liked it ♡
