After homeroom, I have history, math, spanish, chemistry and then, the dreaded, lunch.

The cafeteria is a lot like homeroom. It's full of cliques. You have to sit in the right spot on the first day of freshman year, or you're screwed.

Just one wrong move, and high school, is hell.

Nobody informed me about that rule.

On my first day of freshman year, I met a girl named Jen in homeroom. Jen was very quite and shy, but outgoing at the same time. She was never afraid to wear bold and daring clothes, but never spoke her mind to our peers.

Jen was the funniest person I knew. The first time I saw her, I knew we where bound to be friends. I walked over and took a seat next to Jen before homeroom began, and complimented her shoes. From that moment on, we were inseparable.

Turns out, Jens fashion sense caused her to rank pretty low on the popularity pyramid, so by sitting with her that first day in the cafeteria, well, I ruined the next 4 years of my life.
