"Oh." Was the only thing she said once her entire world blew up. Actually, it's more like the small kitchen inside the safe house of her guild that blew up, but that doesn't matter. Nice last words right? Except she didn't die yet so it doesn't count as last words.

"Oh dear hyung is gonna kill me--" She twisted her body around to have a slightly better landing, landing on her feet and collapsing onto her side. "Oof." She laid there in the debris, her sides hurting a lot more than it should have. She closed her eyes to clear her vision, and her guildmate decided to burst in at that moment.

"Mon dieu, you really are stupid." He groaned, face-palming at the mess. "Isn't this the...9th kitchen you blew up in a week? We're going to have to relocate again. Try not to cook again."

"Well it's not my fault."

~~

"No. . . ." He breathed out.

His parents!

He started to sprint home, but was delayed by loud blasts, and crumbling buildings. When he managed to reach his house, he saw his parents fighting the mysterious attackers. His parents were strong, but they were being overpowered. Soren tried to view the levels and stats of the attackers, but could only catch of couple of word. Level: ???. He stopped watching and ran over to his parents. Summoning his lance, he dashed at one of the attackers and appeared and stabbed his staff into the attacker's neck. He then lunged towards to attack the next person and stabbed them in their head. Some of the others have been whacked in the head and fell unconscious while the others were bleeding. Star essence spilling from their wounds, covering the ground in a purple liquid. But as the enemy resurged, eventually Soren was overpowered and was thrown to the ground as he lost balance. The attacker was about to stab him with their sword when his mom threw her spear into the attacker's side who slumped dead.

Soren blushed in embarrassment. "Uh, thanks, mom."

"You're welcome, but you must flee. There's too many. You can't get killed! Go to the main capital and tell them what's going on! Go to Stalviem. You know the way. I promise you. I'll send help to guide you there, but for now, you must leave!"

"No mom, I can't leave with you with dad by himself!"

"Honey. . . ." She said with sad eyes. "This battle is already lost."

"Sarah!" His father yelled. "Go and lead Soren out of the city and onto the road to Stalviem! He can journey from there!"

His mother nodded.

She grabbed Soren's hand and lead him out. Soren turned away, unable to look at his father being overpowered by the army.

"We're almost there."

A monster crashed into their way. A level 19 monster. . . . "Oh no." His mom said. "Soren! Get out! Go straight and you'll find your way!"

"But-"

He didn't finish his sentence as his mother was too slow to react and the monster had stabbed her in the stomach. "Mom!"

She took her final strength and used up her last power to vanquish the monster as it give a pained shrill and dissolved. His mother fell to the ground.

"M-Mom."

"Listen. Go straight as I told you. There is a path outside this city. Follow the path and it will lead right to Stalviem."

His mother gave him a silver locket. "Open it, it will lead you outside Farsen, but no more than that, but you'll be safe for now when you leave. And Soren. . . . I'm sorry for being so harsh on you. Because of me, you never had a happy childhood and now you've grown apart from your friends. I'm sorry."
