What Has Gotten Into Her?

~In a dark place somewhere~

She opened her eyes. Nothing could be seen. It was just utter darkness. Was this the end? Is this what all the others felt? When they faded? What about....her.....her children? 'No' was not an answer. Not now, not ever. But how would she see them, if she couldn't remember anything else? If she didn't even remember . . . her own name? The eternal darkness seemed to go on forever.

No. I must not give up. I must protect them. Make sure they're alright. Even if it's the last thing I do.

Then . . . the names of her sons popped up, just as she opened the rift. She mumbled something under her breath.

She was cut off as the world around her turned white.

~Soren's POV~

Everybody was dead silent. The attacks may have stopped, but the people of Magicka seemed to be furious at the fact that their leader was murdered. Reland, Soren noted, seemed to be taking the news of the attack rather heavily, seeing as his sister got murdered right in front of his eyes.

Taking a look around his surrondings, Soren realized that someone appeared to be missing. Sakura.....Lindsey......Aua.....Reland.....Sot-Wait....where's Sotaru? He double checked the people around him. Sotaru was nowhere to be seen. Where that idiot go off to? Soren wondered, honestly not even surprised at this point. "So....What should we do now?" Sakura shrugged at his words. "And where's Sotaru?"

Everyone considered what he said and looked around for said boy. Sotaru was nowhere to be seen. Aua groaned and facepalmed. "That idiot is probably blowing things up. Whatever, who needs him anyway," Aua muttered.

"Aww~ You're all so mean!" Sotaru pouted as he popped up right next to Aua, startling her. They all jumped back in response, save for Lindsey, who stood there quietly. "I thought I helped you guys many times before~"

"The hell? Since when did you help us?"

"When I helped Soren kill a monster when we were fleeing Oaken Shield, when I helped you guys find a way into Magicka-"

"That was not helping."

"It appears that you have a different definition of 'helping' than the rest of us."

"-When we were escaping Magicka~"

"Tell me, how dumb can this idiot be?" Aua muttered, burying her face into her hands.

"Nee hee hee~."

Aua took her hands away from her face and rolled her eyes. "Anyways, now that we basically became criminals, what do we do now?"

"Hm." Sakura voiced her thought out loud. "I had some friends that can help us."

"Had?" Soren said.

Sakura nodded. "They're not here at the moment. They're dealing with a situation at the moment, so no option there. What about you Lindsey? Do you have any other friends?"

Lindsey hesitated before shaking her head, her black hair whipping around her face.

"Well, all of my friends died back in that last battle of Oaken Shield," Aua said, her face slightly stiff. "And I'm sure this idiot doesn't have any because of his attitude."

Sotaru grinned and said, "Aw man, Aua you don't mean that~"

Reland cleared his throat. "Well, what about you Soren?"

"Me?" Soren almost choked.

"Yes. I think you should have friends to help you."

"Uh, not really. I lost contact with them."
