Soren, Sakura, and Lindsey had escaped, but it had come at a terrible price. Aua, Reland, and Sotaru were at the hands of the government. They had promised to get them out as soon as they formed a plan, but will they even be able to carry it out? Realistically thinking, Soren knew the chance of getting the trio out of jail is almost impossible. In truth, Soren thought it was an impossible promise. But leaving his friends behind wasn't right either.
"So, Sakura . . . do you know how we're even going to get them out?" Soren asked.
"No, I don't." Sakura replied flatly.
"So was that a bluff? We're just going to leave our friends behind?" Soren said.
"Well if you're so insisting of rescuing them, why don't you come up with a plan yourself?" Sakura retorted. "It's not like I have to do all the work. Just be helpful for once! All you've done was whine and complain."
Soren was about to argue back that he did help, but then stopped when she realized, she was right. Back when his parents died, he took his anger out on Sotaru. In Magicka, he and Aua had fought and nearly caused the group to break apart. And he nearly made the group to fall apart again back in the forest. He realized that he hadn't helped the group at all. Instead of keeping quiet, Soren said. "Fine, I will."
He walked off and started to think of a plan to help the others get out of jail, but nothing seemed to pop in his head. Again, thinking realistically, they were probably going to be heavily guarded deep within the confinements because of the suspects of them being responsible for the attacks. They were clearly at a disadvantage. Was it really impossible to save his friends?
No. I can't leave them behind. They're my friends. We promised. But how? Even if we break in, how are we going to get out? We can't save them, without sacrificing at least one person. No, we can't sacrifice any of them. It would defeat the whole purpose of rescuing them in the first place. But is there really no other way to save them? Sakura was right. I'm no help to this group at all. I should've been the one to stay behind. . . . At least Aua, Reland, or Sotaru will be able to come up with something. . . .
Why was this happening to him? Why couldn't he be someone else? Someone that would be a lot more useful than him. Maybe - There I go again. I really just can't stay focused right now, can't I? Think Soren. You're better than this. Don't falter now.
~ Meanwhile in Sotaru's Perspective~
"Take Aua and Reland to their separate jail cells," the man commanded, then turned to Sotaru. "I'm going to take this one for questioning."
"Yes, sir!" The men said and took the two away.
"So...what kind of questions are you going to ask?" Sotaru asked, breaking the silence.
The man said nothing.
Man, he sure is a tough cookie. (Lololololol. XD -Yuu)
Sotaru followed the man into a small room. The air felt dry in there.
"Take a seat," he said. Sotaru did as he was told. The man took out his clip board and flipped through the papers that were clipped to it. He put it down and looked at Sotaru intensely.
"What's your ID?"
"016." He said with boredom.
"What is your brother's name?"
"I had a brother~?" Sotaru asked.
The man slammed his hand on the table and said. "Give me a proper answer. Don't fool around with me."
