Chapter 11

[Naruto's POV]

I sat across Hinata at my own dining table and wondered countless times already on how the hell did I offer her to live here, as she write her 'rules' on a paper, reviewing and revising.

"How much longer?" I asked the white eyed girl because it's really getting boring, I've waited long enough.

"Patience. You have to always be patient." She murmured, not even bothering to glance at me.

"No one has ever set foot inside this house. This is my escape from everyone and everything. I used to be here when the attacks worsen. How can you compensate for that?" I told her and honestly expected her to offer something in return.

"I don't know. Are you going to live here with me?" I am left speechless. Because I don't know too.

Am I? This house is a little far away from work, my mom wouldn't be too happy to let me live on my own.

"I'm not sure about that." I said after awhile.

"Right? We can pay the bills in half..." She offered, finally looking at me with a straight face. What is this now? Some business deal?

I smirked and cross my arms leaning my back on the chair. I have the perfect idea. "You look like a business woman ready to close a deal. Do you have a degree?" I said.

Hinata looked visibly surprised but gain her composure. She said, "I do have a degree on business. Why do you ask?"

I shrug and look at her, "You look like one. I am pretty good at reading people." I smiled and offer her my hand. "Work in my company."

Her mouth fell open and her eyes went wide. "No! I don't have my credentials. I... I..." she said frantically.

"You don't need to have one. I am the president." I said taking her hand in mine.

"You are a president?! Are you kidding me?" She said, her tone rising. She looks so cute right now. Look at those white eyes wide in surprise.

Cute. I just thought she looked cute.

I coughed and offer her a smile, "Yes, Hinata. I am Uzumaki Naruto. President of the North branch."

"North branch?" Hinata asked curiously.

"Yes. My father used to sit on the highest chair in this city. He was a great person and now he created an empire of business in Konoha." I told her proudly. Should I add, 'and I am his only heir.'? Maybe she'd hate me.

"W-wow." Is all she muttered. I like it when she's surprised because of me... in a good way.

"So... do you accept?"

Hinata look at me in the eye and her answer is crystal clear. No.

"No. I truly like my work. Ayame-san is very kind to me too." She said and look back at the paper she just finished. "So as I was saying... we should split the bills."

I don't think she can pay for it. Don't get me wrong. I am just telling the truth.

"No. I will pay for everything in this house. You can shop for your clothes, food, anything you want with your money. It's the least I can give if you'll agree to sleep with me." I told her and a look of doubt crossed her face for a moment before she bit her lower lip, thinking.

"Okay..." She speak after a while and then proceeded to read her terms. "This is what I can think of but it can be modified depending on your actions. First, I want to know you're not going to do anything funny to me."
