Leonard would visit his sister after school most days when he could. Him being a 16-year-old high school student meant he couldn't get a proper job, so when he wasn't at school or the hospital he was working, trying to make money to live and keep the apartment. His parents gave him some money, but it was never enough to keep the apartment so he started work.

He was now a full-time high school student and working class citizen.

He had 3 jobs: Barista, mail deliverer and paperboy.

It worked for him, it was a lot to handle but he managed.

He had to.

He had to for her.

To keep the apartment she had bought to change their lives. It was after all her first steps to breaking the hold their parents had on them and her first defiant action.

They had become free because she started to work 4 jobs: Barista, shop employee, babysitter and paper girl.

And on top of that she had school, at the time she was 17, he was 6. Once she had enough money they moved out, they had gotten a small 2 bedroomed apartment.

A 19-year-old girl and an 8-year-old boy were now free.
