Over the past week, Leo had come to the hospital to visit Prudence every day, he would hold her hand and talk to her.

He always hoped for her to squeeze his hand again.

But it never happened.

He still believed she would wake up.

Today he arrived at the hospital earlier than usual. He had gotten out of school early due to it being the end of a term and he had rushed over.

He was now sat in the chair next to her telling her about what had happened during his day and also telling her to wake up or to let him know she can hear him by doing something. He wished for her to do anything to let him know she was listening. Anything at all.

Still nothing.

But still, he wished, he still believed.

He had hope.

Then it happened, he had put his head on the edge of the bed and started to drift to sleep when she once again squeezed his hand.

He couldn't believe it.

He slowly lifted his head and there he saw his sister's prominent green eyes staring at him. He quickly grabbed the call button and called for a nurse, then stared at his sister still in awe that she was awake.

The nurses came rushing in and told Leonard to leave the room, Leo wasn't one for defying orders so he left the room, and then called his parents.

She woke up on her 11 month and 5th day of being in the hospital.
