Leonard and I had just finished watching 'Aladdin' our favourite Disney movie and now we were getting ready to leave for the forest. Leonard had packed us lunch before he came to pick me up so all we had to do now was put on our shoes and jackets and then start walking.

The forest was just a 5-minute walk from the apartment, it was over the river and down a path. Our place was somewhere we use to go as kids to get away from our parents, their house was only a 10-minute walk from there so it wasn't too difficult to get to. We had found it one day when Leonard chased a rabbit there.

We like to call it 'birdy', this is because whilst we were there we felt free, and freedom to us was like a bird, you could fly. Maybe that's why I liked my job like Leonard had said, maybe it was because I could fly and be free like a bird.

'Birdy' was a small clearing in the forest, it was full of flowers and small clearings in the tree leaves above which meant when the sun was shining little sun rays would poke through the leaves and illuminate the flowers.

It was beautiful.

We reached 'Birdy' relatively quick and sat on the tree stumps there. We just sat in silence for a while and appreciated the nature.

"I'm glad your back" Leonard said. I turned to face him and smiled.

"Me too I guess. Even though it wasn't too long of a wait for me" I said lightly laughing.

We chatted for a bit and then decided we should eat, so I grabbed the bag with our lunches inside and we both started to finish them.
