Meanwhile, fifteen minutes earlier back in Wingmaiden Island, Fishlegs and the Twins were patrolling the whole island. When things were going smoothly, Fishlegs got into an argument with the Twins.
"Can you guys stop messing around?" complained Fishlegs for the fifth time, as the Twins played around balancing on Barf and Belch's heads.
"We always mess around," Tuffnut pointed out, sniggering. Belch warbled happily.
"Why can't you guys just be serious in this?" squeaked Fishlegs with irritation, waving his arms around in exasperation. "We're trying to protect the Wingmaidens here!"
"Oh, you want us to be serious?" asked Ruffnut.
"Yeah. We're trying to keep being humorous. We can't be serious all the time." said Tuffnut.
"Can't you be serious just this once?!" raged Fishlegs, steaming.
Tuffnut shrugged. "Well," he said, "alright. Remember; you asked for it, Fishy. So, Ruff," he said to Ruffnut, "what do you think will the Hunters do by now?"
"Hmm," said Ruffnut, putting a thinking face. "I don't know, bro. But if I were the Hunters, I would launch another attack here."
"You may be right, sis," Tuffnut put his hand on his chin. "And if I were the Hunters, I would set up an attack on a beach that had been patrolled by the patrollers. That way, they would think that nobody's going to land on that beach, and would check the other beaches that hadn't been patrolled. Then, I would launch the attack by now. The patrollers wouldn't even expect me there!"
Ruffnut nodded. "Yes, exactly, bro. Amazing scheme. Aaand that can happen. Let's check that scheme out. Let's go, Fishy!" said Ruffnut, and they mounted their dragons, Fishlegs muttering, "Muttonheads."
But when they reached the beach they had checked before they left, the Twins were right.
More than seven ships were anchored in the bay, and thirty Dragon Hunters were splitting up in three different ways, already starting to surround Wingmaiden Island.
"See?" said Tuffnut, raising an eyebrow at Fishlegs, "When we get real, things get real."
Fishlegs was paralyzed with fear. How are they going to stop an entire Dragon Hunter army attack and protect the Wingmaidens at the same time?
This was another problem.
