Do you remember, fifteen minutes earlier when Astrid and Snotlout got captured, Fishlegs, the Twins, and the Wingmaidens were under attack?
I'll tell you what happened.
"What are we gonna do?" moaned Fishlegs, fearfully looking at the army of Hunters.
"Have no fear, my dear Fishy," announced Tuffnut royally. "Us Nuts knows how to deal with situations such as this one."
"Yep," said Ruffnut. "All we need is a dose of trickery."
"I like your idea, sis!" exclaimed Tuffnut happily, punching the air. "Oh! I just got the perfect plan. Fishlegs, we need your dragon for this."
"What?" said Fishlegs. "You are not using my Meatlug. She won't like it anyway!" Meatlug snorted as if agreeing with this.
"Okay," said Tuffnut. "Come on, Barf! We're going to have so much fun!"
The Twins hopped onto their dragon's necks and flew with astonishing speed. Fishlegs followed reluctantly.
But Fishlegs was amazed to see the Twins make traps and holes around the island. Tuffnut was even making mannequins out of wood sticks and empty sacks. As Ruffnut worked on the camouflage for the holes, she said, "Fishlegs, we need extra diggers. How about you warn the the Wingmaidens and help them get ready if our traps doesn't work, and send Meatlug to help us dig these trap holes?"
"Fine." said Fishlegs. At least this is my kind of work, he thought.
Fishlegs flew off and warned the Wingmaidens. The Twins finished working on their traps, ("And one special one," sniggered Tuffnut) and they hid behind some bushes.
And it all happened so quickly.
The first group of Hunters went through a path that was filled with camouflaged holes. They fell, with complete shock, into Ruffnut and Tuffnut's holes.
The next group of Hunters were tricked into thinking they were attacked by humans, but in fact the "humans" were only dummies. And the Special thing Tuffnut mentioned was a large dragon dummy. The dummies look like silhouettes of humans and dragon because it was the dead of night, and the Hunters could not see that.
"Retreat!" called out the leader, and the small army ran away.
And the third group were the unluckiest. They ran bang splat into the middle of the female Razorwhip nests, and the Razorwhips attacked with full force with rage.
"Loki'd!" yelled Ruffnut and Tuffnut altogether, and they hi-fived with triumph.
Meatlug, seeing victory, flapped back to Fishlegs.
"How did it go, girl?" asked Fishlegs. Meatlug wagged her bulging rough tail and panted like an overexcited puppy. Fishlegs hugged his Meatlug happily, Meatlug licking him all over.
The Twins landed and dismounted Barf and Belch. "That. Was. AWESOME!!" yelled Ruffnut, punching the air. "I know, right?!" exclaimed Tuffnut. "We totally kicked their sorry Hunter butts!"
"I have to admit, you guys did a pretty great job," said Fishlegs. "Without you, the Wingmaidens would have some trouble taking out all these Hunters. Now, I wonder how's Hiccup doing. He hasn't been back these past fifteen minutes."
"Probably kicking the other Hunters' butts," suggested Tuffnut, examining a stick.
"We gotta find them," said Fishlegs. "But how?"
Suddenly Atali came running up on them. "Well done, Dragon Riders. We couldn't have done it without you," she thanked them.
"No problem," said Fishlegs. "But you should thank the Twins for it."
"It was nothing," said Tuffnut modestly, waving an arm. "I am always the best in the Loki'ing business. Ruffnut here is my assistant."
"Hey!" objected Ruffnut.
Fishlegs facepalmed.
"We have news," said Atali. "The baby Razorwhips are acting rather strange." She gestured at her Razorwhip curled on her waist, screeching and whining softly, craning its neck to Atali's left.
"It must be because it got separated from its sibling," said Fishlegs.
"You could be right," said Atali thoughtfully. "But it kept craning its neck to the same direction."
A few more Wingmaidens landed near Atali. Fishlegs noticed that every single one of the baby Razorwhips were craning their necks to the same direction as Atali's Razorwhip.
Fishlegs smiled thoughtfully. "I may have an idea on how we can find both Hiccup and the others and the kidnapped Razorwhip."
So the Wingmaidens and Fishlegs and the Twins set out on a search party, following their baby Razorwhips' necks. They headed east, straight into the fog, where they will finally spot the army hidden in the fog.
