JAEDEN

I woke up with Wyatt's arms wrapped tight around me as I hugged his body close to mine. He was smiling in his sleep, and although I tried not to wake him, it was inevitable.

"Good morning, beautiful" he exhaled with a smile.

His eyes were closed but he opened them after I kissed his lips, ignoring the taste of his morning breath.

"Hey, Wy" I whispered with a smile.

He brushed my hair behind my ear repeatedly as I played with his soft curls.

"What do you wanna do today?" he queried.

"Hmm" I hummed in thought. "We should probably help you get settled at my house first, then we can go on an adventure. I'm sure there's plenty of places you haven't shown me yet"

"That," he kissed my lips, "sounds like a great idea"

"Goof" I chuckled, and he laughed as I kissed his cheek and got up.

I glanced at his clock to find that the time was 8:34AM. More than likely Noah and Millie were at work and Mom was still sleeping.

"Need help?" I asked as he stuffed his duffel bag with clothes and other stuff.

"Nah" he shook his head. "And if I forget anything, it's an easy walk over"

"True"

"However," he said slyly, "I am having trouble figuring out how I'm gonna carry my duffels, and you"

I squealed with laughter as he scooped me up suddenly and placed me over his shoulder along with his bags.

"P-Put me down, Wy!" I giggled and he chuckled as he carried me outside and across the lawn to my place.

"Here we are, my darling prince, your humble abode"

I scoffed as he flashed his dimples and set me down.

"Sorry" he chuckled, and I pecked his cheek as we walked inside.

"Jaeden! Where were you!?" Mom immediately jumped me.

"Hey, Mom. I'm sorry, I went to Wyatt's to help him pack some things before coming here. It was late and I didn't want to wake you so we just watched some TV until we got tired"

She looked to Wyatt for confirmation and he nodded.

"I'm sorry I kept him late, Miss Lieberher. He really was helping me pack and we just watched TV but I lost track of time"

"Alright, just...don't scare me like that, baby" she sighed, and I hugged her.

"I'm sorry, Mom" I apologized. "And I'm gonna go help Wyatt unpack, then we're gonna go see the town a little. Is that okay?"
