"Alright then, what's the plan, boys?"

"We need to know everything you know about Logan, Jake and Owen. We know why they're after Wyatt and Jaeden, but why are they such assholes? Everyone knows they are too, so why aren't they in prison or holding or something?" I questioned.

"You guys don't know, do you?" Joe asked quietly.

Finn and I exchanged curious glances before turning our attention to Joe, listening intently.

"So, you guys know how their gang use to have a leader, Nic, right?"

"Yeah, Wyatt and Jaeden said he used to harass Wyatt all the time" I answered. "And that Wyatt had to...you know..."

"Right" Joe nodded solemnly. "Well, the reason these boys don't get in trouble is the same reason why Nic never did either, and why Wyatt got in trouble for stabbing him, even in self defense"

Finn raised his eyebrows and I leaned forward.

"What is it?" Finn questioned, almost impatiently.

"Nic's father is the Chief of Police" Joe explained sadly. "He never cared much about what his son did, and he didn't care much about what his friends did, either. He protects them from any trouble with the law and nobody can do anything about it, not that many people care anyway"

"Well, we do" Finn said sternly. "Jaeden and Wyatt deserve to be happy, and we're not giving up on them"

"Finn's right" I agreed, standing up. "We love them so much. We need your help, Joe. If there's anything we can do to fix this-"

"There might be" Joe said suddenly.

We turned our attention to him.

"There's a small court in town that handles stuff like this. The judge hates Nic's father, and he's been trying for years to put his friends behind bars. He'll help"

"How come this judge hasn't been able to do anything before?" I asked curiously.

"He hasn't had any 'proof' of the things they've done, and nobody will step forward as a witness for fear of being the boys' or Nic's father's next target. Everything they do get's swept under the carpet by Nic's father. But I think with enough witnesses, and evidence from Jaeden getting stabbed, we'll finally get rid of those assholes. But for now, let's go talk to Judge Weathers"
