JAEDEN

It's been three days since I've last hung out with Wyatt, but we've been texting everyday. I assumed he was busy or didn't have time, but I'll admit I really wanted to see him.

So when he called me the next day, I felt my stomach do a million flips.

"Jaeden Lieberher" he said confidently when I answered.

"Hello, camera boy" I quipped, earning a chuckle from the other side.

"How've you been?"

"Alright, I guess. Getting used to Dawkins. How 'bout you?"

"Well I've been busy, but I was just thinking...would you want to come over for a little while?"

"O-Oh, uhm, yeah, sure. I'd like that" I answered, and thankfully we were talking through a phone and not face to face because my cheeks were on fire.

"Great!" he replied. "How does four sound?"

Get a fire extinguisher.

"Four is fine" I smiled, although he couldn't see it.

I could hear the smirk on his lips as he replied.

"Perfect! I'll see you then, emerald eyes"

"See you then" I scoffed and hung up.

I grinned triumphantly and started to get ready. I know he only lives like a hundred feet away but I had an hour to look decent, and I wanted to make sure I looked desirable.

I mean, I wanted to make sure I looked good.

I pulled on a blue short sleeve collared shirt with white lightning bolts on it and unbuttoned it to show my white-t and threw on black skinny jeans. I sprayed some cologne and put on deodorant before brushing my hair and teeth and slipping on my white converse high tops.

I glanced at myself in the mirror and smirked a bit, but frowned. We're just friends. Why am I getting so flustered over seeing him, when he doesn't feel the same, and probably isn't even gay?

I sighed and shuffled downstairs.

"Jaeden, sweetheart?" Mom called.

"Yeah, Mom?" I answered as I walked into the kitchen.

Noah and Millie were sitting in the kitchen reading as Mom was cooking.

"Hey, little bro" Noah smiled.

"Hey Noah" I grinned. "What's up, Mom?"

"Wow, you look handsome! Were you going somewhere?" she queried.

"Yeah, uhm, j-just to Wyatt's for awhile" I said quietly as I blushed.

"Oh. Alright" her excitement stifled.

"Is that a problem?" I asked curiously.
