"D'Angelo put me down!!" Storm squealed as he put her over his shoulder.
"Shut up," He said smacking her ass, making her gasp.
"I don't have on any panties!!" She said & he quickly put her down.
"Of course you don't," He said as she fixed her dress.
"Damn, De, you should've kept her up," Eric, one of D'Angelo's best friends said before D'Angelo punched him. It was 60 degrees outside and they were outside on the block, enjoying the weather. A lot of the neighbors were outside. Kids riding their bikes, people sitting on the porch talking. It was beginning to look like summertime Chi.
The only bad thing that accompanied the summertime though was that when it got hot, more people started to die. Storm always worried that D'Angelo would be one of the many killed during the summertime. She always worried about whether or not he would die but, in the summer, that's when she worried the most. People were more put up in the winter. The summertime was when everybody was out.
She also worried about Malik. He wasn't affiliated with any gang but he was a black man living on the west side of Chicago so he could easily be killed for being at the wrong place at the wrong time. She worried about both of them, and if she could, she would put the both of them in her pussy and keep them there until summer was over.
But she couldn't. All she could do was hope that they would survive another Chicago summer.
"Storm look at me!!" Storm's little sister Lyrica said as she rode past on her bike. Storm smiled proudly as she watched her. Lyrica loved doing things for her big sister's attention. After all, Storm was her role model.
"You know," D'Angelo said as he wrapped his arms around Storm. "We should have a baby of our own." Storm looked up at him. What was up with him & Malik trying to get her pregnant? Were they racing to see who could get her pregnant first? Were they trying to trap her so they could have her for themselves forever? Storm was going have to make her a doctor's appointment to get back on birth control because they were definitely plotting.
"Mhmm no. I got a whole nother year of college a-"
"Exactly that's why we should start now," He said as he started kissing her face. Storm sighed.
"No, because afterward, i'm going to graduate school." D'Angelo sucked his teeth, letting her go.
"Ain't you tired of school?" He asked as he sat on the porch. Storm sat next to him.
"Trust me, you don't know the half. But I got to do this so I can get where I want to be in life."
"Why don't you just let me take care of you?" Storm sighed again. They had that conversation before. It was the summer before she left for college. So she couldn't understand why they had to talk about it again 3 years later.
"We talked about this..."
"We can talk about it again." Storm rubbed her temples.
"I don't want anybody taking care of me and you..." She looked at him & he rolled his eyes.
"I what?"
"You know."
"Nah I don't."
"How long you gon be doing this shit?" Storm asked & he groaned. He didn't wanna have that conversation again.
"You know what? I don't wanna talk about this anymore," D'Angelo said as he stood up. Storm stood up too.
"You-"
"D'Angelo!!" Lyrica yelled as she dropped her bike, running over to the two. They both put on fake smiles, not wanting to let her know they had a problem.
"Yes, Lyrica?" He asked.
"Can you buy me an ice cream? The ice cream truck is coming!!" She said excitedly & D'Angelo chuckled. He loved her excitement.
"Of course. Anything for my favorite girl," Lyrica jumped up & down before running over by her bike, waiting for D'Angelo to come. He turned to Storm. "You want something?" She shook her head. D'Angelo walked off to flag the ice cream truck down. Storm sat down next to Eric.
"Yall so cute when yall mad at each other," Eric said teasingly and she gave him a look.
"Shut up."
After a while, it started to get cooler outside and the sun started to go down. Storm took her sister inside her grandmother's house & told her she'd be back soon so they could go home before walking back to D'Angelo's. D'Angelo was still on the porch, wondering if he should get him a blunt or wait till later when Storm came back. She sat on his lap & he sighed looking up at her.
"I'm not understanding why you won't let me take care of you."
It was because she was not his to take care of.
"Because I can take care of myself. Besides, what if something happens to you?"
"Ain't nothing go-"
"You don't know that. Your daddy said the same thing and look at him." D'Angelo's jaw tightened at the mention of his daddy. He knew she was right, but didn't want to admit it. "You know I hate that you even involved in this shit-"
"It's too late to get out now so-"
"It's never too late," Storm said. D'Angelo sighed & Storm wrapped her arms around his neck. "You can do so much better. It's never too late to go to college."
"You know I hate school."
"Yeah but you love basketball. I'm not understanding why you stop playing anyways, you were so good." D'Angelo shrugged his shoulders & Storm sighed. "I just want you to do better."
"Well, I don't know what I'm gon do so." Storm knew it was no point of trying to talk to him so she just let it go. He was just as stubborn as she was. They sat there quietly for a minute, his hands resting comfortably on her thighs. He looked down & started rubbing her thighs. She looked down at him and decided that it was time to go. She wasn't in the mood, and she knew he was only doing it to get his mind off their conversation.
"I think i'm finna go," Storm said as tried to get off of him. But grabbed her thigh, stopping her.
"You can't stay for a little longer?" He asked as he moved her hair out of the way, kissing her neck. His hand ran up her thigh, and as a reflex, she spread her legs wider so he could access it better. He started rubbing on her clit, still kissing her neck as Storm felt herself about to give in. But she had to be stronger than that.
"Mhm I gotta go," She said getting away from him & he smacked his lips.
"Alright." He had an attitude.
"I'll text you when I make it home." He didn't say anything. Storm sighed before walking off, going to get her sister before heading home.
D'Angelo got up & headed inside, planning to roll a blunt & call a bitch over to give him some ass. That was what he did when he was mad or stressed. Especially when he was mad at Storm.
He was more so stressed than mad at her. He knew she was right, but bringing up his father always caused him to shut down.
And him shutting down was not good.
