Storm didn't talk to Malik, Jake or D'Angelo that weekend. And the three of them didn't reach out to her. They let her have her space, especially Malik & Jake, because they both knew they were on her shit list.
Storm took the weekend to calm down, and think about... everything.
Mostly about what Malik said. He was kind of right. For 8 years, with the exception of a few months in between, she had been in relationships and situationships back to back. Never a break.
But that was just her. She liked being in a relationship, she liked having somebody, she liked fucking.
And it wasn't like it was her bouncing to a new nigga every time. It was the same two men for about 6 years, then came Jake & that was it.
However, she was rethinking her decision of bringing Jake into the mix. She should've just left him alone and continued to stay single.
Too late now. However, she had to make a decision about their future.
And by Monday she did.
Storm sat in Jake's living room after work Monday, legs crossed & arms folded as Jake sat across from her.
"I can understand that," Jake said shrugging.
"So you're not mad?" Storm asked.
"I mean, I don't really think I can compete with two men you've known way before you met me & I don't really wanna try because i'm pretty sure I'll lose."
"I..." Jake gave her a look that dared her to lie to him & she sighed. "I'm sorry." He waved her off.
"It's fine. We weren't really in a relationship anyway. We mostly just had sex." That was true. They did that more than anything else, hell they did start as fuck buddies. Storm stood up.
"Well, i'm going to go," Storm said walking over to the door & Jake followed behind her. She turned to him. "Good luck."
"You too," Jake watched as Storm walked out of the house. She would need it.
D'Angelo sighed in bliss as he got in the bed after taking a hot shower. It had been a long first day, but it was worth it. That money was worth it.
He grabbed the remote, turning on the 65-inch tv he had in his room before the doorbell rung.
D'Angelo sucked his teeth, getting up & heading downstairs. When he got down there, he looked out the peephole & saw Storm.
"And she re-emerges," D'Angelo said as he opened the door. She sucked her teeth, walking past him inside.
"Shut up," She said as she headed up the stairs. D'Angelo watched her ass as she walked before following behind her.
The two made it inside the apartment & D'Angelo closed the door as Storm sat on the couch. He turned to her.
"You good?" He asked & she nodded. "What you doing over here? It's damn near 10," He said, looking at his apple watch.
"So? I always pop up at random times. I can't pop up now?"
"Nah," D'Angelo said, serious & Storm gave him a look. He started smirking. "Cause last time that I checked, I was a trash ass nigga." Storm blushed in embarrassment. "Ain't that what you said?"
"I'm sorry," She mumbled.
"Mhm," He walked over to the couch & sat next to her.
"Malik just pissed me off so bad-"
"And you decided i'm a trash nigga with him?" He asked chuckling.
"No, you're not trash. Neither one of you are." Storm started to play with her nails. "And thank you for saving me, even though I didn't need it with ya hardheaded ass."
