Chapter 12

*Bucky*

I woke up and looked down to see May still asleep. I admired her when I heard the crying that woke me up. I untangled myself from her and rushed to Parker's room. He had the twins beside him and was holding his arm. "Parker! What happened?" I asked the 7 year old. I had turned the baby monitor off before I left my room so that May wouldn't wake up. "H-how-ward w-was c-cli-climb-ing o-out of h-his c-crib a-and a-almost f-fell! I r-ran to s-save him a-and s-slipped a-and f-fell on my a-arm! T-then H-how-ward f-fell a-and t-then N-nat-talie f-fell too! I c-couldn't pro-prote-ect t-them!" He cried. I picked Howard up and sat next to Parker on the floor I then picked up Natalie and started to calm them down. Parker was still holding his arm but held onto Natalie as I put him in my lap. "Hey, hey it's ok bud. Look the twins are fine! They're like Wade! They don't get hurt as easily as you do! It's ok bud calm down." I soothed the child in my lap. The twins calmed down enough and started to fall back asleep. "Let me put the twins down and then you and me can go visit Uncle Tony or Uncle Bruce, ok?" I asked him. He nodded and slipped off of my lap. I stood up and put Howard in his crib then got Natalie from Parker and put her in her crib. I picked Parker up, careful of his arm. "Let's go tell mommy where we're going ok?" I asked him, turning on the baby monitor so that if the twins woke up, May could hear them. He nodded his head and I carried him to my room. "Why don't you tell mommy and while I get dressed?" I asked him. "Ok." He said. I set him on the bed and got a pair of shorts and a tank-top. "Mommy..." I heard Parker whisper in her ear. I got dressed and heard her whisper back. "What baby?" "Me and Daddy are going to see Uncle Bruce or Uncle Tony." He said. I walked out to see her start to sit up. "What?" She asked. She looked at me confused. "Show mommy your arm bud." I told the child. He moved his arm and May gasped. "What happened?" She asked examining his arm. He retold the story to his mother. "Are the twins ok?" She asked. "Yeah they're fine. I checked them over and I think the suppressants wore off some. So they're sleeping right now and the baby monitor is on so you can go back to sleep. I'm going to take him to Bruce or Tony." I said. "Ok. Parker, why don't you go get your shoes on. Me and daddy need to talk." May told him. The little kid walked out of the room and I sat down on the bed. "Do you think he broke it?" She asked me as I hugged her. "I'm not the best judge on that." I said. We both looked down at my arm. "It's not your fault... You had no control over any of it." She said moving my head so that I could look into her eyes. It scared me some times how much her and Steve look alike. It scared me when we first found her on a mission. She looked just like a female version of Steve, except with brown hair and brown eyes. She had Sarah's hair and Joseph's eyes. While Steve had his dad's hair and mom's eyes. "Have I ever told you how beautiful you are?" I asked her. I moved a piece of her hair behind her ear. "Many, many, many times..." She said as I leaned in and kissed her. "AAAHHHH!!!" Parker yelled. We broke apart and looked at the little child standing in the doorway. We heard little cries come from the baby monitor. We heard the front door shut and I looked at May. "I'm sorry. I better go after him." I said and ran out of the house.

*AT TONY'S HOUSE*

"Bucky? Parker? What are you guys doing here?" Steve asked. Parker explained what happened. "Are the twins fine?" Steve asked. "They're fine. May is watching them, but Parker on the other hand..." I trailed off. Steve moved and took us down to Tony's lab. He entered the code and we walked in. "What happened?" He asked not looking up from what he was working on. "Parker probably broke his arm." I said. He looked up and over at us confused. We explained everything to him. "The twins are fine before you ask." Steve said. "Ok. Let me see your arm Parker." Tony said. I led Parker over to him and watched Tony examine it. "FRIDAY, get an x-ray of his arm please. Once you have it pull it up on the screen." He said. A beam scanned over Parker's hurt arm. The image appeared on the screen in front of us. "Yep it's broken alright." Tony said. There was a break in his forearm.

"At least it isn't your right arm bud." I said. "Can I have a Spider-Man cast?" He asked. We all looked at him offended. "Sorry, Peter's fun! Him and Wade are awesome!" He said. "FRIDAY bring up a design for a Spider-Man cast." Tony said and got the supplies for a cast.

*30 MINUTES LATER*

"And done!" Steve said finishing up the final touches. It looked really cool in the end. It was red on the top and blue on the underneath. Steve did half of their symbols next to each other.

"Thanks Uncle Steve! I love it!" Parker said and wrapped his arms around his neck. He then ran to Tony and threw his arms around him. "Thank you Uncle Tony!" He said. "You're welcome bud! Now I need you to be careful with your arm so that it'll get better." Tony told him. "Ok! Can I go play with Peggy?" He asked us. "Just until I'm done talking to your Uncles." I told him. Parker ran up the stairs and went to the play room to play with the little baby. "He'll be healed within the next few weeks or so. Bring him back in a few days so that we can change his cast." Tony said. "Why so soon?" I asked. "So that he can have all the Avengers on his cast once."
