Chapter 16

*Clint*

"When do you want the kids?" I asked Pietro. "Now is good." He said. It was about 4 in the afternoon and I was talking to Natasha on the phone . "Bring them over when you're ready." I told her. "We'll be over in about 20 minutes. Are you ready for the surprise tomorrow?" She asked. "Of course I am, I'm Hawkeye!"

*5 HOURS LATER*

"Come on Natalie, be good for Uncle Hawkeye." I told the little girl. So far Pietro has been sprayed with webs 5 times, 3 of which when he was using his power, and I have been sprayed 3 times. Pietro was getting Howard ready for bed after we bathed them. Once they were asleep, we were going to have Steve and Tony come over to try and figure out how to get their powers under control. I picked her up and my vision went black. I wiped the webs off and hurried to their room to change her. I got her pajamas on and put her in the crib beside Howard. I sat down in the rocking chair and closed my eyes. I felt Pietro sit down on my lap and wrapped my arms around him. He started to hum a lullaby that his mother used to sing to him and Wanda every night before bed. 

I heard a knock come from downstairs and opened my eyes to see the twins and Pietro asleep. I picked Pietro up and walked downstairs. "Wake up baby. Stony's here." I told him. I set him down yet he clung to me. While I answered the door. "Sorry we're late, he fell asleep in the lab." Steve said while holding Tony, who was holding Peggy. "It's fine, he fell asleep with the twins." I said. I let them in and closed the door and picked Pietro up. I set him across my lap in my chair. While Steve sat on the couch next to it in the same position. "Tony said that these pills will help them with their powers at least for the next year or so. They dissolve in almost anything, and taste like apples. He had me try them and it affected me a little but not a lot. They need to take one each every morning with breakfast." He said. "Got it. One pill each every morning with breakfast in their water or apple juice." I said. We talked a little bit more about the kids and the plans for tomorrow. 

"The storms getting closer and closer every day. Do we even have a game plan yet?" I asked. "No game plan yet, but we're trying to make contact. Can we crash here tonight?" Steve asked. "Yeah of course! Let me show you to the guest room." I said then stood up. I dropped Pietro off in our room and then grabbed Peggy and put her in with the twins. I led Steve to the guest room and showed him where some extra clothes were that we all had in our houses for each Avenger. We said our good nights to each other then I left. I walked in to see Pietro sprawled out on the bed. I smiled and stripped down to my boxers. I walked over to the bed and stripped him. I climbed into bed and pulled him into my chest. "I love you Iubirea mea (my love)." He said. "Te iubesc cel mai mult (I love you the most)."

*THE NEXT MORNING*

I woke up to the smell of pancakes and coffee. I looked beside me to see Pietro still sound asleep. I bolted up into a sitting position. Pietro bolted up ran into the wall. I grabbed my bow and helped him up. "Stay behind me." I told him. He nodded and followed me out of our room. "We're going to check on the twins, you need to stay with them. I'm going to see who's in the house." I told him. I felt his lips on mine. I kissed him back then wee broke apart. "Stay safe." He said. I nodded and carefully walked down the stairs. I had an arrow ready to shoot if it was needed. "Put your hands where I can see them!" I said walking into the kitchen. "Calm down Legolas, it's only me and Capsicle." Tony said. "What the hell? You guys scared the living daylights out of me!" I said. "We thought that we would make breakfast for you letting us stay here last night." Steve said. I then remembered letting Steve and Tony crash here with Peggy because of the late hour last night. "Thanks." 

*LATER THAT NIGHT*

"What are we doing old man?" Pietro asked. "Something for me to know and you to find out." I said. I led him to the water, just out of reach of the waves. "Can I take it off?" He asked. "No. Now stop talking and stand still." I said. I gave the thumbs up to Nat as she got everyone ready. Tony was going to spell 'Will', Steve will have a sign that says 'You', Thor will have the lightning say 'Marry', and Wanda will use her magic to spell 'Me?' in rose petals. I kneel down behind him a few feet away. "Now!" Nat says next to him. He rips the blind fold off and everything goes perfectly. "Will.... You..... Marry...... Me?" He says. He turns around to face me. His hand flies to his mouth. "Yes, you idiot!" He says. I stand up and open my arms for him to fall into. I slip the silver band on his finger as more tears fill his eyes. 

"I love you Iubirea mea (my love)." He said. "Te iubesc cel mai mult (I love you the most)."
