Liam's Point of view
I am a nervous wreck. As a dare I put my name into the raffle to be in the Treasure Games. What am I going to do if I get picked? I'm just a 16 and a half year old boy named Liam I don't have any chance of winning. I'll probably be in the half of the group that dies right in the beginning.
So far my best friend, Max, who was also dared to put his name in the box, has been called along with 26 others. I hear the name Kayla Auches, 28, John Smith, 29. I hear Liam good that's 30. Then someone says, "Get up there Liam." I don't move. But suddenly I am being pushed forward by the crowd. Why are they pushing me forward? Then I realized Liam was my name, I had been called up. I managed to keep myself from sobbing and kept walking up to the stage.
When all 32 of us were gathered the announcer explained the rules.
Rule#1 "Everyone has to have a teammate during the course of this competition."
Max and I quickly join teams.
Rule#2 "There will be 16 teams and 13 stones on the 1st course and you are eliminated if you do not manage to get a rock. This pattern continues on all 7 courses."
Rule#3 "When you are eliminated you must pay to leave the competition immediately.
Rule#5 "This is the last rule. You have one hour to get supplies for the first stage of the competition. Ready Set Go!"
