In the morning Max and I eat a little fruit and the equivalent of 3 glasses of water each. As we were sleeping, the 12 exits turned into one big one. We both walk into the door and into the blinding light and the warmth of the sun. When the black spots disappeared from our eyes we find that we are near the top of the mountain. Right behind us are the two nineteen year olds and the jerks from school. Apparently they made an alliance. We decide to deploy a little of the slime trap. By the time they reach the slime another team as come in sight and is gaining on us rapidly. When the two teams hit the slime they slide down the mountains on their stomachs. Lucky for them they don't hit the rocks just the mud and grass. The third group tries to get out of the way but aren't fast enough and are soon slidding down the mountain with the other two groups. As we climb higher up the mountain we soon realized that we needed to use the rope we brought.
Just as I start to hoist myself up a ledge a flame burst out from the inside of the mountain, then another and another. We were being attacked by flames that were coming from the mountain. We had to climb and fast. I leapt up higher and higher, flames on my heels. Max was above me and was moving like spider man finding hand hold I couldn't even see with a magnifying glass. My foot felt hot, "Ow!!" I yelled loudly. The flame had burned my foot. This made be climb faster but the flames were still coming. Another flame shot out of my handhold, burning me. When I looked down all I could see was red. But when I looked closer I could see two people, who were laughing and holding oil and a lighter. We had been tricked, the flames weren't coming from the mountain they were coming from the two people below us. It didn't matter though I still had to climb. If I burned my bag with all the food would burn too and Max would starve. This gave me newfound strength that I didn't know I even had. I began to pull my feet out of the fire and up, up, and up. The laughter had stopped and the two people now were cursing and scowling. I smiled to myself before I pulled the rest of my body to the top where Max was waiting.
We ran uphill and onto a trail. The whole trail was uphill and the sun was beating down us the whole time. After about 3 hours of dragging ourselves down the trail we see a tent. Max stands on watch outside of the tent while I go in. Inside I restock our food and water then kick the tent right down the side of a steep grassy hill. After we continue on for a few miles we set up camp on a small clearing. That night at about 12 P.M I hear footsteps and the soft murmur of voices. I quickly wake up Max. We arm ourselves with the pointed sticks. When we get out of the tent we see two people both with torches ready to light our tent on fire. Immidietly I let the stick fly from my hands. It landed right in the leg of one, and Max following my example landed his stick right in the shoulder of the other. The one with the spear in her leg took it out and limped as fast as she could away. The other let out a shriek of pain took out the spear and RAN as fast as she could away from us. I think they deserved worse but that's okay as long as we slowed them down.
