Chapter 19: Day 3

Daniels point of view

"Ding. This is Caden results are in and the contestants revived are Sarah, Luca, Drakon, Star, and finaly Dominic. That is all." Shoot Sarah and Luca revived plus 2 more careers Dominic and Star. I just don't remember a Drakon.

The whole reson that Lumen and I are allianced is because we both needed an alliance. It's just that simple. I jog over to her, "Hey Lumen what are we doing with the revived careers."

"Leaving them. It's just us now the reason both are dead is because they tried to kill me and all the other careers in our sleep. Unfortunately for them the cannon of one of the careers woke us all up."

"K." I answer back. We walk to the rocks one beach. I grab my packs and weapons then we head out to the single rock in the sea. When we reach the water, I slowly walk in feeling the hot water surrond me. Lumen joins me and side by side we walk out to where we can't touch the sand any more. From there we start swimming a slow easy pace. Falling in rhythm with the sea. 'Stroke, Stroke, Stroke, wave, Stroke, Stroke, Stroke, wave....

The water relaxes me and the slow pace soothes me, the Rhythm relaxes me. Just then relaxed and calm I see a glimmering fish tail in front of me. Looking around I see we are surronded by 5 mere men and mermaids. They hold spears and tridents, swimming gracefully towards us not missing a beat. They looked so nice and sweet. I paddle towards one ready for a hug but instead it bares it's dagger like teeth at me. The mermaid in front of me leaps right out of water somehow pulling its entire body above water. It crashes down causing white ripples. The white ripples make it impossible to see. I go under but I can't see anything with the white foam the splash caused. I feel a slimy hand grip my foot and pull me down. It ties me to the bottom of the ocean with a braid of sea weed. My lungs burn as I try to saw the seaweed off. But I can't get the seaweed to break it's knotted to well.

About 1 minute later, a merman comes down thinking that I was already dead. I shut my eyes playing dead like a possum. With my eyes shut the merman skillfully untangles the sea weed. He then takes me to the surface with the other mercreatures. Now untied I take my knife from inside my shorts and stab the mermaid tail. Emerald green blood pours out as I wiggle my knife around. I rip out the green soaked knife and stab him again except this time right in his eye. He yowls in pain and tries to rip free of my firm grip on his neck. He smashes his tail at me trying to hit me. I pull him closer and rip out his other eyeball before slitting his neck open. A cannon booms loudly, not from the man I am holding but from Lumen. The mermaids rip at her body with tridents. Spearing her and causing blood to pour out. It is a miracle she lasted as long as she did. But instead of going down without a fight she kills the remaining four meremaids and merman. Actually to be specific not her but rather her cannon. My eyes well with tears as I swim on. I make it to the rock before I start crying. For hours I sit there on the rock sulking and pouting.

"Ding".

"Attention contestants the revived contestants are arriving. Each will land on a different strip of land." Right after he says that I see 5 spot lights moving each going to a different destination. One stays at the center, one goes to the large island the other one goes to the mini island, one goes to the rowboat thing, and the last one heads right towards me. I grab all my suplies throw them down one the rocks surronding the larger rock. I grab my weapon, a dagger and spear, and then I sink down under the water holding my breath. The now dark water conceals me. I make a promise to myself and to Lumen that all of the other contestants in the Treasure Games will fall to me.

Soon the spotlight reaches the rock. The spotlight turns off and there is Star. She flops to the ground and lies there obviously tired after just being brought to life. Slowly I crawl out of the water careful not to make a splash. With my knife and spear I creap up behind behind her.
