I walked out of my bathroom with my towel wrapped around my waist. My bathroom was joined with my room, so I only had to open the bathroom door to enter my room.
I was startled to see Sage sitting at the end of my bed, but I didn't let this surprise show.
"How may I help you?" I frowned.
Sage looked up and blushed deeply as her eyes roamed my body. She seemed as if she wanted to touch me, but we both knew that would end up into something I didn't deserve from her.
I cleared my throat, still waiting for her response.
"Uh..uh...um...I-i...uh...um," she struggled before gulping. "C-can you p-p-put on some clothes...uh first?"
I chuckled at her nervousness.
"Nah, I'm good," I smiled. "What do you want, besides me, of course?"
She replied, "Kendall told me that Nathan isn't feeling well today, so they're at his doctor."
"I guess we'll have to reschedule the shopping plans," I said.
"Yeah," she agreed as her eyes continued to linger all over my body.
"Is that all, or do you just enjoy watching me?" I teased.
"Oh, sorry," she blushed. "I..uh..actually wanted to ask you something."
"What is it?" I asked while walking to the bed.
I took a seat next to her and she slanted her body to face me, but she kept her gaze on the floor.
"Well, um...last night," she started, and a slight smile emerged on my face as my memory jogged back. "The kiss....um...the kiss."
"What about it?" I asked.
Did she regret it?
"Why did you kiss me?" Sage asked.
"Because I wanted to," I answered truthfully.
"And that's the only reason why?" she asked.
"What are you trying to make me admit?" I frowned.
"Nothing, nothing," she answered.
I cupped her face and raised her head up so that she could stare into my eyes.
"What's troubling you?" I asked while staring into her eyes.
"Do you like me?" she blurted, causing my eyebrows to raise at her outburst. "I mean, it's okay if you don't. I don't want you to feel pressured into answering. I was just confused and wanted clarity."
"I-" I said before she cut me off.
"So this question is basically asking for clarity. I wouldn't want to make assumptions," she rambled. "I mean, the kiss felt a little passionate on my end, even though it was more like a smooch, or whatever, but I still wouldn't wanna jump to conclusions. I couldn't sleep last night because it has been bothering me for some time. Not like a bad bothering, it has just been on my mind and won't get out, so yeah."
I chuckled at how adorable she looked while rambling.
"You're adorable," I smiled, earning a blush from her. "And to answer your question: yes, I do like you."
I've had my eyes on her before she even met me, but her bitch ass brother didn't want me near her. He actually got upset when I told him how beautiful she was and that I wanted to pursue a relationship with her. That was actually why we fell off.
"You do?" Sage asked in a surprised tone, and I nodded in response.
"Yeah," I answered. "You're very beautiful, inside and out, and I like your personality, even though you annoy me and get me tight sometimes."
