Nicks POV
"What are we gonna do, Carter?" Joe asked.

"Facts, cuz these attacks are becoming more frequent," Diego added.

"I get that, but I can't be y'all body guard 24/7," I said. "Y'all gotta be able to defend yallself without me there directing every movement. I'm not a fucking puppet master."

"But you call the shots," Adrian noted. "We don't wanna respond to an attack and fuck something up."

"How would y'all fuck up?" I frowned.

"By doing something you don't approve of," Daniel answered. "We wouldn't wanna trigger your angry side."

"By y'all not attacking back, my angry side is being triggered. How y'all got attacked 5 times? Y'all supposed to be looking out for each other," I sighed.

This mafia shit was frustrating me.

"Look at the pot calling the kettle black," Drago said.

"The fuck you talking 'bout?" I asked with narrowed eyebrows.

"You've been distracted recently. I heard a few rumors on the streets that you're busy buying icecream and flowers," Drago answered.

"I'm not distracted," I disagreed.

"I say you get rid of that hoe, and focus on your actual priorities," Ethan said, and many of the others present agreed with him.

"First of all, she isn't a hoe,  so watch ya mouth before you don't have one," I threatened. "Secondly,  it's also my priority to take care of my girlfriend. Most of y'all lonely and gotta beat y'all meat everyday cuz y'all don't understand what a real relationship is. Thirdly, the next time one of y'all even think about Sage, y'all gonna end up in my basement."

"You're fucking Junior's sister, nigga?" Rick asked. "Junior cut us all off because you like her, and instead if getting back one of our best, you're here fucking up the family even more."

"We're not fucking, we're dating," I corrected. "And whatever I chose to do is my business."

"Until it's affecting us all," Jabar said.

"We all needa focus," Diego said.

Nathan entered my house, and everyone began having side conversations 'til I got tight and yelled, "Yo, shut the fuck up!"

They all became silent and directed their attention to me.

"Here's what we gonna do," I planned. "Tomorrow at 5 in the night, we gonna attack back, only this time, I wanna take down the entire south. Tuesday, we'll focus on the north, and Thursday, we'll get the east."

"What about the dance?" Nathan asked.

"Fuck!" I groaned.

"A dance, bro?" Joe chuckled, causing everybody to laugh.

"Shut up," I chuckled. "I'm taking my girl to the dance tomorrow night,  but I'm also gonna get through with these plans."

"How?" Nathan frowned.

"You'll take Kendall and Sage to the party, and I'll meet y'all there around 6 or 7," I answered.

"Nah, bro," Nathan disagreed. "I gotta be there to back you up."

"No," I disagreed. "If anything happens to me, you gotta be safe to protect them."

"Aight, but nothing better not go wrong," Nathan said.

Nathan was like a real brother to me. He always had my back no matter what. If I trusted Sage to be in anyone's care besides mine or her brother's,  it would be Nathan's.

"We'll all be fine," I promised. "Don't let Kendall or Sage know what's up tho."

"Aight, I'll think of something," Nathan said.

"See that?" I noted to everyone. "He's using his brain."

We all chuckled before I dismissed them. When everyone cleared out, I went upstairs to Sage's room to check on her. She was still fast asleep. I knew she was looking forward to tomorrow, so I needed to make sure everything would go as planned.

I walked to the room I kept my dogs in. As soon as I opened the door, the dogs raced to me. I patted their heads and gave them a treat before hugging them goodnight, my normal routine.

I then went back to my room with the intention to sleep, but I couldn't stop thinking about when Sage kissed me earlier. The kiss was the most passionate kiss I had shared with anyone, and from hearing Sage's moan, I was ready to make passionate love to her. If it wasn't for that damn phone call, Sage would've been in my bed, snuggling into my chest, and giving me warmth. Instead, I was cold and lonely, but that was how it was supposed to be for me anyways.

I didn't deserve Sage. I didn't deserve to even think about and long for her this much, but she left me restless at night. She was all I thought of. I craved her so much that I lost a bond with Junior over an argument about her. She was beautiful inside and out, and I loved her personality. I couldn't wait for the day when we'd both be in love with each other.
