Chapter 25

Luke's POV
I ran down the hall after Juniper who squealed when I got closer,"Daddy no!"

I finally caught up to her and lifted her over my shoulder,"Juniper yes!"

She went limp and dangled in my arms,"I want to stay home today with you!"

I chuckled and patted her belly,"Nope. You my dear, have to go to school and I have to clean or else Momma isn't going to be impressed with us."

"But I can clean with you if I stay home. Just today." She pleaded with me when I set her down on her bed.

I turned around and dug in her dresser and got out her outfit for today,"You said that yesterday and you can help when you get home at 3."

I had two dresses in my hands and questioned,"Pink or Red?"

She smiled at me and pointed to the pink one so I threw the other one over my shoulder and got her in her underwear then nylons ,"Daddy why do I have wear this thing?"

I chuckled,"Do you run and play while you are there?" When she nodded I continued,"They're so you can do that without having to worry about your dress flying up or getting chilly."

She nodded and lifted her arms as I pulled it over her head and zipping it up. She hopped off the bed and to her vanity where she makes me do her hair.

I brushed her hair out and questioned,"What would you like done today Ma'am?"

She smiled at me,"Suprise me!"

I ended up doing pigtails with white bows that matched her dress. I put on her light pink sandals and got her backpack ready,"Do I have to bring those?"

She gave me a funny look as I packed her two spare pull ups,"Your teacher wants them to be in here."

"Can we tell her that I'm a big girl and don't need them?" She questioned and pulled them out of her bag.

I sighed,"Just for today but can you grab your lunch pail on the table?"

She nodded and skipped over there. While she was occupied I snuck the diapers back in the bottom of her bag and covered it with her nap clothes.

After I dropped her off I went home and did all of the chores for the rest of the week. I checked the last thing off my list and rested on the couch and waited for Lauren to get home.

I decided that it wouldn't hurt to go for a nap but I made sure to set an alarm for 2:30 just in case I didn't wale up in time to pick her up.

I jolted awake to my alarm and reached over and quickly shut it off. I rubbed my eyes and stretched before getting up and grabbing my keys, wallet, and phone.

I made it to her school just in time as when I pulled up the children and parents were leaving the building. I walked into her classroom to see her waiting by the big fish tank,"Juniper."

She turned around and ran to me so I scooped her up and set her on my hip. I walked over to sign her out,"You had a good day today?"

She nodded,"I have a picture in my backpack for you and Momma."

I smiled,"Really? Did you draw yourself?"

She shook her head,"Nope not telling until we get home."

I chuckled she stubborn just like her mom. It wasn't an eventful ride home but on the way there Juniper fell asleep.

I carried her inside and took her bows out before tucking her in. I heard the front door open and someone plop onto the couch.
