Chapter 31

Laurens POV
I chuckled as I looked down at Riley seeing her eyes rolling back as she was gulping down some milk.

When she was done I took Ashton from Luke and started feeding him as he burped and changed her,"Isn't this crazy?"

He chuckled and nodded as he set her in her crib before walking over to the chair I was sitting in,"Thank God we moved them into their room now that they're 3 months old. Maybe we can actually have only two bodies in our bed tonight."

"They're growing up too fast. Well he is, she's still really small compared to how much he grew."

He started to moved his face to the side so I handed him to Luke while I cleaned myself up,"It was good to finally come home from work to at least see them. I missed Juniper though."

He sighed and set Ashton into his crib,"It didn't matter what I told her she still tried to wait up for you until she fell asleep sitting up."

I nodded and stood up and hugged him from the back,"I'm so thankful that you're here. I don't know what I would be doing without you."

"I'm happy I'm here to. I told Juniper that most people have working Mommas and sometimes it's hard on them to but that's how things are."

"I know but she's been through this since she was barely two months old. I think she's just getting tired of not having me around as much as I ha even lately."

"Maybe on your day off the two of you could have a Mommy Daughter day and I'll stay back with the twins."

I gave him the biggest hug,"Okay. I'll try to make it back on time tomorrow so I can tell her. But in the meantime I'm gonna jump in the bath."

"I'll help." I chuckled as he quickly got up and we both walked to our room. 

"Luke I'll be fine. I don't have my stitches anymore so I don't need you to help. Besides what happens if they wake up and we don't hear them?"

He smiled and pulled the baby monitor out of his back pocket,"I figure we have at least an hour or two if they get up again."

I chuckled and smiled at him,"All though it's very enticing... I think I'll pass for now."

Just on cue Juniper yelled,"Daddy! Can you help me? I'm stuck!"

I chuckled and gave him a kiss,"You'd better go to the rescue Daddy."

He smiled and ran out of the bathroom and down the hall to where her screams were coming from.

I started to run the water and tossed in some bubble bath. While that was running I took off my ring and necklace before taking my clothes off.

I sighed and turned to the side seeing how ugly my body was. I placed my hand over my belly and starred at the stretch marks that scattered my lower abdomen.

I turned so that I could see my back and gasped when I could see how much was there. I never had a single stretch mark with Juniper but with the twins, they were everywhere. How could he claim that he loves me when my body looks like this?

I could see that the water was done so I got in and soaked until it got cold. I quickly washed and rinsed my body before draining the water. I pat my body dry with my favourite fluffy towel before putting whipped coconut butter everywhere, paying special attention to my stretch marks.

I put my robe on and sat on the chair in front of my vanity brushing my hair, teeth and putting on my face mask. I got up and walked into our bedroom to see that Luke had fallen asleep clutching the baby monitor with Juniper tucked into his side.
