Lauren's POV
I laid on the examination table when my doctor walked in and smiled at us,"How are you two doing this fine morning?"

"Amazing just wanting to check up on things before I left." Luke place his strong hand softly and protectively on my baby bump.

I am around 4 months and am already huge. I was never this big with Juniper and I can already tell that the months to come are going to be hell for me. My back already aches and the morning sickness hasn't let up one bit.

"How are you feeling Lauren?" She questioned as she set the machine up and got everything ready.

"Just peachy. The morning sickness hasn't let up at all and as you can see I'm already huge. I was never this big with our daughter." I explained and she nodded.

"Maybe it's just a big baby or you are carrying differently than before. I've seen this with many moms so it isn't uncommon but I will be looking extracarefully just in case."

She pulled my shirt up and squeezed the cold gel on my stomach and brought up the picture. The last appointment I had was when I was 1 and a half months.

As soon as she flicked the switch a loud and very fast heartbeat filled the room. It sounded odd at first,"That's crazy what is there more than one?"

I chuckled at Luke's remark and noticed immediately that her expression changed and she nodded her head,"Actually there seems to be more than one heartbeat."

I furrowed my eyebrows as she turned the monitor over so we could see. It was hard to see as the larger of the two was up front blocking the other. As soon as she moved the wand over another baby appeared on the screen.

I squeezed Luke's hand and felt sick, real sick,"Two?"

She nodded,"Congratulations."

I looked over at Luke to see that his face had lit up completely,"Is it too early to tell the genders?"

"I would say so but I can try." She turned the screen to her and I waited patiently as she worked quietly for a few minutes.

She turned to us and shook her head,"Not yet. They won't let me see and keep crossing their legs and turning away."

After I got dressed and we were on our way home I asked,"When do we tell people that it's more than one?"

"We can start before I leave and get everything ready when I get back. I don't want you straining yourself over anything." He said and splayed his hand over my whole stomach.

"I can't wait. Now that I know there's more than one, I know we'll never sleep again and get even less sleep than before." I sighed and placed my hand over his.

"When do we tell Juniper?"

"When we get home. We'll all sit down and have dinner and talk to her about it." I answered as I got out and walked up to the preschool to sign her out early.

I walked to her room and smiled when I saw her sitting with the other children for the first time. I almost didn't want to take her home.

She glanced up and saw me and smiled her biggest smile before she ran up to me and wrapped her arms around my waist,"Gentle remember?"

"Sorry Momma I forgot." She gave my stomach a kiss and nestled in.

"It's okay and I missed you so much today. I think that we're going to go home early okay?" I bent down and picked her up knowing that she still expects it.

When I walked out of the building Luke got out of the car and took her from me,"Luke I can still do it. I'm not disabled."

He shook his head and buckled her in as I got back into my seat,"As long as I'm here you won't be lifting anything and hopefully while I'm gone. I want my wife and my babies to be safe."
