Despite it all (all being, but not exclusive to, your mundane routine-not-changing life, and Namjoon's strangely hectic one), you had been talking to the idol on a fairly regular basis. It wasn't daily, as you would have liked, because Namjoon had so much on his schedule so often, but it was regular enough for you to feel butterflies whenever you heard your phone go off.
Eventually, you had to start leaving your phone at home when you went to work as it was too much of a temptation to check it even when you were teaching. That was not the kind of example you were trying to set. But in the same vein, it was a little too tantalising to have your phone attached to you for the whole day. You decided though, that it would be for the best because of the effect his texts were having on you, and so, you explained the situation to him rather honestly. He replied, understanding, but couldn't help but find you even more adorable for it.
He tried to text you as often as he could, whenever he had a spare minute here or there. And when he remembered, he would text something encouraging in the day, so you had something kind to come home to. To say he was just as enamoured with you as you were with him would be an understatement. It was getting to the point where the other members of BTS were thinking of making an intervention he was starting to irritate them so much. The conversation that ensued immediately after the fan meeting was the most amusing out of all of them though.
"Hey, Namjoon-ah!" Jin called out, smirking a little, "Who was that boy you were talking to earlier?"
"Well, I-uh," Namjoon hesitated, he knew this conversation would be coming but he really wished it wouldn't.
"Do you know him hyung?" Jimin asked politely, but still curious.
"Yeah, why did you shout 'YOU!' So loudly anyway?" Hoseok added, a grin spreading across his features.
"Well, you know that barista I met in the UK?" Namjoon hesitated a little, "Well, that was...him." His voice squeaked out the last bit in embarrassment, he wished he hadn't made such a show of it all.
"WAIT WHAT?" Hoseok exclaimed.
"You can't be serious," Yoongi's expression was stern.
"I am, that was really him," Namjoon's face heated up a little.
"How did he find you, Namjoon-hyung?" Jungkook questioned.
"I'm not really sure, but I know for certain he wasn't an ARMY when I first met him, he didn't recognise any of the songs I showed him from my mixtape!"
"You made him listen to your music!?" Hoseok sounded offended, but it was meant as a joke.
"Hey! That's not the point," Namjoon protested, "He must have found out who I was, and some way somehow gotten into this fan signing. I have to say, he's pretty determined."
"Well yeah, I mean he is in South Korea after all, not the UK. Are you sure he's not a stalker?" Taehyung joked, not really meaning it but Namjoon's face blanched nonetheless. "Ah I didn't mean it! I'm sure he's great!"
After the confrontation Namjoon explained about the "date" you two had gone on, and the disappearance of you at your work place after it. Beyond that though, it only seemed to serve as more fuel for the fire with the other member's curiosity. They had so many questions, and after hearing that he had finally given you his number, they demanded he find out multiple different things from you when you would finally text him. What were you doing in Korea? How did you find out who he was? How did you get a ticket to the fan meet? All these questions and more were thrown at him until he eventually had to tell them all to shut up. Namjoon was overwhelmed.
After you had texted him, all of these questions were eventually asked, and answered rather politely by you despite the interrogation.
Joon: Sorry, those were my band mates with all the questions. Hope they didn't put you off too much.
