(Tamara's POV)
I paced around the room."She'll answer, Tamara. And how do we know that she was the one who even captured Y/N?" Ell commented, clearly not thinking about who she was speaking to.
"Excuse me?" I turned to face Ell, who was tapping her fingers on the table. I could see that she was trying to be somewhat positive, but I was too angry to think straight. "I know Tori like I know my own mind. Well, used to anyway. But if anyone captured my sister, it's her."
"Tamara, I'm worried about Y/N too. It's been three weeks. Do you ever think that she ran away, instead of being captured?" Matilda asked.
I froze. She wouldn't do that ... would she? I know the mood around here is pretty grim and she's usually a jokester, but ... she wouldn't, right?
Then I heard a buzz. Tori picked up, finally. I wiped the tears off my face and turned around.
"Where is she?" I slammed my fists in the oak table.
"Who? I don't know what you're talking about. You'll need to be more specific about that." Tori narrowed her eye, with her eyepatch morning a bit.
"Don't play dumb. You know exactly who I'm talking about. Why would we schedule a meeting if you didn't know who this is about?" I snapped.
"Haha, right. I'd like to remind you that we this meeting was scheduled two months ago." Tori responded coolly. "Anyway, let's get on with this meeting, shall we?"
(Your POV-First Person)
I was getting along better with the Red soldiers. If I form a better relationship with them, maybe I'll be comfortable living here for the rest of my life.Wait ... is this what Stockholm Syndrome feels like? I creaked the door open to the place I basically lived in now to see Thorn sitting on the bed, fast asleep. I giggled and set the food down that I was carrying next to him. One of his silver eyes opened due to the scent of food. He looked at me, and I gave him a reassuring smile to allow him to eat. He began to dig into the meal.
I observed his features. He had purple monster elements as well as silver eyes and a hair color that was similar to Tori's, with a hint of H/C. He finished his meal and sat on my lap as I wrote on my paper pad.
- Horns + claws that look like the features from my monster form
- Hair + eyes like Tori's
- Possibility that he might be my biological son?
I stared at the third thing I wrote. He did look oddly similar to Tori and I. If she did some crazy lab experiment with DNA then I swear I will slap her.
"Ma? Um, ma? Can I talk to you about something?" Thorn snapped me out of my thoughts.
"Yes? What is it?" I inquired.
"Why can't I leave this room? You keep saying 'when I tell you it's safe' but when will that be?" He asked.
"I-I'll see into that. It's unhealthy for a kid like you to be trapped in a room all day." I sighed, staring out the window.
(Tori's POV)
I heard Y/N talking to the experiment inside her room. She sounds like she really cares about him ... no, it! Well, based on her response to its question, I assume she's going to have a chat with me. I can't wait.I went into my room to contemplate what happened during the meeting. I told them that I had Y/N in my possession and Tamara got extremely upset but she didn't show it. Matilda was visibly shocked and distressed, and Ell seemed unfazed, but I could see by the look in her eyes that she was distraught. They were quite close. It's a good thing that they don't know where my base is.
I wiped the frost off my window to see my soldiers deep in their conversations. I wondered where my mom was; sometimes I wished I could've had a better relationship with her.
But now there's another woman I'm worrying about.
(Your POV)
A couple sounds of doors being moved made you silence your new son. Tori's probably back from whatever she was doing. I'll go talk to her about Thorn's situation. You laid Thorn down in your bed he had fallen asleep by now. You quietly left the room and knocked on the chestnut brunette's door.
"Tori? Are you in there?"
No response.
"Hello?"
"Sorry, I didn't hear you the first time. What?" Tori's voice came from the other side of the door.
"I need to speak with you. It's urgent." You stepped back, allowing the door to open. Tori emerged from the room, still in uniform. She had a slight look of worry in her eye, and she seemed a bit guilty about something.
You sighed. "Why were you keeping children in a lab?" Tori froze. She opened her mouth, but no words came out. Then she began to speak.
"I- uh," she stammered.
"You what?" Anger was boiling inside your stomach. You twitched, attempting to hide your feelings under a mask of emotionlessness.
Tori drew in a breath. "BeforeyougothereImixedourDNAtoseewhatwouldhappenI'msorry."
"Can you repeat that?" You glared at the one-eyed leader, awaiting her answer.
"Before you got here I mixed our DNA to see what would happen I'm sorry." Tori mumbled. Something inside you snapped.
"WHY WOULD YOU DO SOMETHING LIKE THAT! ONE: YOU DIDN'T ASK MY PERMISSION AND I WOULDN'T OF LET YOU ANYWAY. TWO: YOU CAN'T EXPERIMENT ON YOUNG CHILDREN! HE'S ONLY SEVEN!" You shouted. Tori's expression was a mix of fury, fear, and guilt.
"I-" Tori attempted to speak, but you cut her off.
"Don't say anything." You glared at Tori, tears in your eyes. "There's nothing you could say that would make up for what you've done."
You turned around and entered the room you resided in, leaving Tori alone, reaching for your shoulder.
