(Your POV)
Everything was dark.

You couldn't see anything. All you could hear was the loud sounds of the helicopter and Tori's shaky breathing.

As you leaned against Tori's chest, you could hear her steady heartbeat, which was probably the only constant sound in the mixture of noises. It was calming to you.

Soon enough, you fell asleep.

-Later, or Should I say Earlier-

You woke up. Almost everything was quiet, only the whispers of the wind and a bit of clanking of metal could be heard.

The material you were lying on was soft; somewhat cushiony. It felt like a thin mattress, with a blanket on top of you. It felt like a hospital bed. You were unfortunate enough to know what those pale green beds felt like.

"Hello? Is anyone awake?" You whispered, hoping to find the source of the metallic noises.

"Go back to sleep Y/N, it's five A.M." You heard Tori's voice from across the room.

"Then what are you doing?" You asked, sarcasm lacing your tone.

"Working on something. Two things, actually." She simply responded. You weren't sure if she was trying to piss you off or hide something from you.

"But why are you awake?" You pestered, trying to get an answer out of her.

"You certainly love being difficult, don't you? I'll tell you if you go back to sleep." You could hear the Norwegian woman's footsteps come to your bedside.

"Fine." You responded.

-+Morning+-

"Y/N~ do you want to know what I was doing last night?" You heard Tori's voice.

"Yeah, what is it." You sat up in the medical bed, rubbing the spot that your eyes used to be. Then you remembered - you don't have eyes anymore.

"What I'm about to do might hurt a little bit. But I swear it'll help. I know it will, because I've been working on it all night." She announced, and you could feel the bandages around your eye sockets unwrap.

"Will it help my sight?" You asked, turning your head in the direction of Tori's voice.

"It should, if my calculations are correct." She responded. You felt something visor-like where your eyes used to be. It was smooth - probably made of glass. There were two bands that felt elasticity wrapped around your head and connected at the back. There were a few rectangular buttons on the sides.

"Now this is the part it might hurt." Tori said, then there was a shooting pain in your eye sockets. It was unbearable, with the agony coming getting worse.

"T-T-Tori? What's happening?" You asked, your voice shaking violently as you gripped the bed.

"The wires will attach to your brain. Then I'll press a button and you'll be able to see again." Tori explained.

Suddenly, the pain stopped. You let out a relieved sigh and let go of the bed. Tori must've noticed that you relaxed.

"Are you ready?" She prompted.

You nodded. She clicked a button on the side of the visor and you saw a circle that had the words 'LOADING ... PLEASE WAIT' in bold, pale blue letters.

"It should say that it's loading ... does it mention what percentage it's at?" She tapped the electronic, causing a vibration and '73%' to appear inside the moving circle.

"Yeah." You replied. After a few long minutes of silence, the percentage became 100% and the screen read 'LOADING COMPLETE'. Then, you could see everything.

The room's walls were most likely supposed to be white, but were a cream-ish color due to age. You were sitting on a medical bed in the middle of the room with a pale green blanket and rails on the side to prevent someone from falling out. A few cabinets were on the right side of the room, with a window on the left. The door was opposite your bed and nearby was a desk with robotic pieces scattered about. Tori was standing at your bedside, with a hopeful and worried expression on her face. You were unsure why the worry was there.

"This place is a mess." You commented. Tori looked startled, but happiness and excitement filled her eye and she smiled for the first time in a while.

"They work?!" Tori sounded like a child, but quickly composed herself when she saw your amused expression.

"Well, anyway, they should work differently than regular human eyes. Possibly better, actually." She explained, but she couldn't hide the childish squeak in her voice. "They should be comfortable for sleeping, and they're waterproof too. So you'll be able to cry if you needed to."

"When can I get out of bed?" You asked, turning to Tori. She looked unsure.

"Your leg prosthetic should be done any day now." Tori responded. The fear in her voice was clear. You weren't sure why she was afraid, but you weren't asking any questions.

"Oh, okay."

-A Few Days Later-

You stared blankly at the ceiling, a million thoughts blaring in your mind. The clanking of metal was the only sound you could hear, from Tori's desk. Otherwise, the room was completely silent.

A few beeps and Tori whispering 'yes' were heard as some footsteps approached your bedside. You looked to the side and saw Tori.

"Hm?" You made a simple noise. Tori's expression was filled with excitement, as if she couldn't wait to show you something. You stifled your laughter.

"I completed your prosthetic." She was tapping her foot with the impatience of a child. You let out a small giggle.

"I'll have to do some operations on you, but I'll do them when I give you anesthetic." She explained. You made an 'o' with your mouth, but shrugged.

"Okay. We'll do the procedure tonight, is that good?" She asked. You nodded, being the flexible person you were.

"Perfect. Now get some sleep." You ordered, flicking your hand in the direction of the door.

Tori seemed to tired to fight back, so although she was definitely annoyed, she left.

You simply went back to staring at the blank, white ceiling.

Unknowing of the silhouette in the closet.

Unaware that she was being watched.
