Draco's point of view

The great hall was filled with students smiling and meeting  their friends who have met after so long. The sound of student talking almost filled the hall. We were(i,blaise,theo) we're about to enter when an owl flew my way and gave me a letter. It read-

Mr. Draco Malfoy,
I would like to inform you that you have been chosen  as  the Head boy this year and will carry out all your responsibilities with respect, honesty  and Determination. You would  be allowed  to give or reduce house points from all the houses. You would  have  to share a Dormitory with the Head Girl. Today is the first day so I  request  you to stay in the great hall after the dinner. Your luggage  is already  transfered in your room. You will be guided to your dormitory  by  Professor McGonagall after dinner.

I was surprised as well as happy. We entered  the hall when all the sounds of the hall came to a halt. 'There was pin drop silence' as the muggles say.we reached our table and could hear the whispers  throughout the hall. The slytherin table was death glaring at us.Actually,the whole hall was death glaring  at us. My eyes fell one a girl who smiled at me as if she is an old friend of mine. The same brown eyes and I realized that she was Hermoine. I  couldn't  help but smile at her. She seemed shocked at first and then smiled back. We sat at our table and waited for the sorting of the first years. There were 9 students  who got sorted into slytherin, 6 in hufflepuff, 10 in Gryffindor, 8 in Ravenclaw. Then the house ghosts greeted the students after a usual speech by headmaster about not to go in the forbidden forest. etc. Then the food appeared and everyone was happy to dig in the food. I secretly missed this.

Then the headmaster asked the head perfects to lead the students to their house dormitories. I stayed behind  as mentioned in the letter. I saw Hermione Granger waited as well and I thought if she was the Head Girl. It was true. She is the Head Girl. Means I will have to share a dorm with her? I was speechless.

Dumbledore explained the head boy and head girl's duties and then we followed professor McGonagall to our dorm. The password was  'the swan'. I read about a constellation in which it was said that being under the swan, the love's cupid will hit you soon. I shook my head and cleared my thoughts when I realized  that  McGonagall had left soon. It was me and Hermione.. Only!!
