Amidst jealousy ....

Shock!

I stood there shocked. Did she really say that. Will she really go on a date with e if i ask her? Won't that be a dream come true? oh salazar! help me. This girl will be the death of me.my train of thought was no where near to the reality when i saw her moving farther away from me.

"wait , i am coming."i said and ran behind her.

"thanks a lot Hermoine" I told her. It was a bit special spending time with her after school. And unexpected. 

"don't mention it Theo. anybody would have helped you if they were in my place. we are friends afterall." she gave me her Gryffindor smile.

"do you think diggory will hate me being there . i mean i am a slytherin and all that." i asked her a bit doubtful since i wanted to spoil cedric's plan but not hurt her.

"theo, i told you so many times that it doesn't matter . no body cares if you are a slytherin. the houses you were sorted in don't define your personalities. If you ask me, you are the sweetest slytherin of all. and if i hadn't talked to you, we wouldn't have been friends as we are now." she  smiled at me again.

"not the cutest?" i asked her.

she blushed and nodded. now i am smiling like a goof. now we have already reached the library. I look around to find where diggory was. and there, he is sitting by the window in the corner.we start moving towards him and I get a wonderful idea.

"Hermoine, you go first . I'll get myselfa book." she nodded and moved towards him. this is going to be wonderful. when they are comfortable, i'll go and shock Diggory. An evil smile formed on my lips. 

Cedric's POV

"Diggory, come on. It's been a long time since we played quidditch." yelled one of my friends who was also repeating the year.

"sorry guys , rain check. i have to meet a friend. why don't we hang out at night in the common room?" I asked  them enthusiastically. I was too excited to listen to their response and started running towards the library. I and Hermoine decided to meet there. I am so excited to meet her that i find her favourite spot in the library. a window seat by the corner.i had seen her sitting her almost everytime i have  seen her in the library. 

it had not been five minutes since i had taken a seat on the table than i see her moving towards me with an all good cheerful smile. Is she so happy to meet me as I am in meeting her? I wish so. Is it possible that she is coming towards me in a slow motion and there are violins playing? 

she reached me and seemed t be saying something but i couldn't understand what it was. and then she moved her hand in front of me to gain my attention which she had already caught unintentionally.

"hey" i muttered sluggishly.

"hey! i was wondering how long have you been here for?"she  asked.

"not so long actually" 

"that's great then."

"should we start hermoine . I mean we can talk about something else for a bit..."

"hello guys, I am back" I heard a voice behind me.

"theo , we were waiting . come on join us.Cedric I wanted to tell you that Theo will join us too for the extra potions class." Hermoine said.

I remianed shocked. He will join us? why ? I looked at an already smiling theo. Lust seeing him smile at me so innocently I knew that it was not a coincidence meeting him here. That is not how I wanted this date to go.  I mean it was not a date but I'd like to think it was. I thought that by meeting Hermoine everyday , she'd fall for me as i did for her. But my plan was destroyed by Mr. oh I will interrupt cedric theo.

I nodded unwantingly and Theo came and sat beside me. just great.

An hour had passed and Theo stilled clinged to hermoine .He had asked such basic questions to Hermoine that she had to help him throughout and i didn't get much attention from her.

At first it was just the sitting arrangement that i hated. Theo sat between me and hermoine. then he started interrupting me and asked his nonsensical questions to her. She smiled at laughed at his questions which inflamed me more. He was intentiona,lly spoiling our time together. 

And now it was the time to go back. My plan had backfired completely.

"ohkay guys . I have to leave earky . head girl duties. you guys revise what we had practised today, especially you Theo. i will ask the professors to allow us in the potion room next time.bye. see you tomorrow." Hermoine said and walked away.

I was about to leave when Theo came up to me and said" Hey Diggory . I hope you didn't mind e tagging along." He said and ran behind Hermoine to catch up with her.

well it was like a challenge by him.  now I  will have to find another way to spend time with her  and connect with her. I will have to work harder. I was annoyed at today's events but they motivated me as well.

whoever wants to fight for Hermoine with me, come on! I am not afraid. I will fight for her.
