Draco's POV

Cedric Diggory? who does he think he is? I felt bad when he "died" but him being alive is even more frustrating right now. A study date? i think not. If it weren't for Theo, I would have spoiled the date myself. His "I am so cute", "Diggory is the best" attitude really makes me puke. At first it was the usual house rivalry and the agenda of "all slytherins are bad and some are worse" kind of accusations that brought us at each other's throats. That was all the past and timely everything is forgotten. But now he is trying to hijack Hermoine? Something must be done and soon.

After the library incident I left for the Head Boy duties and to carefully examine the corridors. the First years this time are really quite a bit of work. Are all the first year chimpmunks this tiring? I understand what Percy might have gone through with us.

While passing through the forbidden corridor, I saw Hermoine. Nothing new but she was sneaking. What is she doing here sneaking around? I approach her and am soon going to call her name when I see her holding a broom. Broom? why does she need a broom? As far as i remember,which trust me is a lot and by a lot I mean a LOT, she hates flying. Or did she?

Now my mind is really turning a lot of it's gears and functions. Why don't I take her on a flying date? Maybe offer her a helping hand? well whatever it is , I will decide it on the moment. Cross the bridge when it comes I guess. She keeps the broom in the closet and ushers a binding spell. As soon as she turns around, she notices me and smiles like always. I seem to be quite fond of her smiling at me and it somehow makes me feel special. But I will never admit it to the gang. Why you ask? No reason specifically. I may admit this to Hermoine nonetheless.

"Draco. how long have you been standing here?" She asked.

"I just came . Why? Have you been hiding something Granger?" I smirked.

"yes Malfoy. I was having a randezvous with my crush." she retorted.

"ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh", I replied knowingly.

"Nothing much. Just head girl duties" she said and we started walking towards the Head Students dorm.

it was a peaceful walk. We both walked in silence and weirdly it was not awkward as I usually felt when there was too much silence. As we reached the room, I thought this was the moment and I had to capture it. Its now or never.

"Hermoine"

"YES?"

"Do you have some free time tomorrow?"

"I have two classes tomorrow and well, yes I am free tomorrow. What is it?"

"HERMOINE will you go out on a date with me?" i spoke fastly.

She stood there shocked and well truly astonished. OH SALAZAR! WHAT DID I JUST SAY. WHAT IF SHE REJECTS ME AND THEN NEVER SPEAKS TO ME AGAIN?

" It is alright if you do not want to go . Ignore what I said." I started heading towards my room.

"Draco wait. I would love to go on a date with you." she smiled at me.

"okk" I said and shut the door behind me. I was happy and shocked. Oh wait why did I shut the door on her. Embarrassment floods into me. DON'T LET IT FALTER YOUR PLAN FOR TOMORROW DRACO. Just leave this embarrassment tale for another day.

Tomorrow, I will go on a date with Hermoine. I smiled to myself. My smile didn't vanish when i went to the bathroom, nor did it vanish when i finally slept. All I could think was the date tomorrow.
