Amidst jealousy ....

First Attempt

A/N  so sorry everyone... It's been like centuries since I wrote this book. Ninth grade is immensely annoying and chaotic.. So sorry again I hope to write the next chapter sooooon...

Blaise's point of view

It's been three weeks since 'the discussion' I,Draco and Theo had. I was really unhappy to have found out about their secret crush... Which annoyingly and of course luckily(plz note the sarcasm) was same as mine. Whom was I fooling? She was beautiful, Intelligent and a perfect girl that everyone would want.
I had to do better than them. I had to impress Hermoine. I had to have her.

I thought day and night about the ways  to woo her but nevertheless nothing was even as unique as she was.

I saw her walking towards the Great hall.. With Draco. I felt a pang of jealousy but kept my face and emotions in control. I noticed Draco smirking at me and then innocently smiling at Hermoine. That egoistic, handsome Bastard,cunning Slytherin ( he is my best friend but.. U know the same...).
I approached Draco and Hermoine
"Hermoine , may I have the pleasure to take you to your table? "
"sure Blaise, but why so formal? "
"ahh.. Well you see I 'd like you to meet me at my best, and that is in my gentleman phase"
"oh.. Well is this some special day  or wait -"
She pulled her hand away from mine and no doubt I felt a bit abashed.
She examined her surroundings and on finding nothing unusual she asked, "OK, what prank is this? All Slytherins smiling and so-gentleman -ish?" she asked smirking at me.
"well you Gryffindors are always so smart. How did you know  that I'm going to lure you into a trap and then we are going to throw you off the Astronomy tower (evil laugh) "my tone dripping with sarcasm. She elbowed me near my left shoulder and I  gasped in mock hurt.
"no violence.. Woman! Seriously though what is with women and elbowing men? "she smiled.
"so really.. What's up? " she asked.
"couldn't a slytherin be nice,simply without any ulterior motive ? "
"well you can be...I'm sorry, my mistake "
"no problem just don't repeat it."I looked at her and as soon as I saw her face I started laughing.. She started laughing too.
"so see you later.. You have potions class today, don't  you? "
I had totally forgotten about meeting her in class. I smiled and nodded. Maybe my smile was too idiotic or unlike a usual light smile because on seeing me smile, she laughed. I frowned at her but soon joined her laugh. And boy did she look stunning !
I would have never thought to make her smile that way if I was my past self.. I just wish I can make her smile even at times when she would not want to.

I left her at her table and greeted Potter and weasley. Even though we couldn't be called as friend yet but they seemed OK with hermoine talking to the slytherin House.
" hey, Potter. What's up weasley? "

" we're good zabi.. Blaise what about you? Hope you remember the Gryffindor v-s Slytherin match coming up next Saturday. " Potter replied with weasley sitting beside him shoving any food he could find into  his mouth.
"yes I remember. Don't worry pot... Harry we won't forget to defeat you"  I said smiling innocently at Harry. Yes I know being on first name basis with our once mortal enemies seem almost impossible but as I said 'once mortal '. Having witnessed a devastating war, these enemities seemed pity and ruthless. Moving on, Harry is a friend to me and I nodded at the Golden trio  as I glided toward the slytherin table on the opposite end. I passed through the Hufflepuff table where  I saw Cedric, yes Cedric Diggory glancing at a certain Griffindor. I followed his gaze but was interrupted mid- way by none other than my dear friend Draco.

"may I be of any assistance to you? "I asked him with innocence sparkling and covering my face. "well I'd love you to help me but there is nothing I can't do by myself but for sure I'd ask you anytime I would need it" he smirked.

I sat beside Theo .He too  had noticed my conversation with the Gryffindors and specially with a certain female Gryffindor but he kept quiet. I felt a stare at  the back of my head and turned around to find Hermoine smiling and glancing at me. I  smiled and she turned around blushing. 'My first official impression on Hermione seemed to be successful ' was the only thing going on in my mind for whole day.
