Camila walked through the school hallways, her body was tense and her eyes wary. She stayed up thinking about what Normani had said and she was already planning to tell the coach that she had to sit this one out. He'd be mad, especially with the game being tonight but Camila had spent a good portion of the night trying to figure out how to undent her wall and she'd rather have her coach mad at her than Normani mad at her.

Camila was looking down at her sneaker clad feet as she sped walked, deep in her own absorbing thoughts. That would explain why a second later she was laying on the cold floors of her highschool, her eyes tightened closed on instinct from the impact that had hit hit, and her chest breathing just a bit heavier from the unexpected weight laying on top of her.

"Oh my God, I'm so sorry!" Camila heard a familiar voice yelp and she opened her eyes with eagerness to lay them upon the raven haired girl that was laying on her. She had a worried look on her face as she stared down on Camila, her eyes searching the brown ones as if she could communicate through eye contact.

"I was just running to class because I'm late and I didn't even see you and now you're on the floor and I'm so sorry" Lauren rambled out in a fast pace as she scrambled off of Camila (much to the girls dismay) and started to collect the items that had fallen to the floor via their colliding.

"It's okay, really" Camila interrupted the girls repeating rambiling, crawling over to Lauren to help her with her scrambiling. The raven haired girl looked up at her with worried eyes and a big smile, she and Camila held eye contact for what felt like hours but in reality was probably only a few seconds.

Camila swore she could drown in those emerald orbs.

"Oh! It's actually good I ran into you of all people" Lauren interrupted their staring, looking down with a light blush grazing her pale cheeks as she stacked the history books that had fallen. Camilas face lit up significantly at Lauren's words and in the back of her mind she wondered if the Cuban girl in front of her could notice.

"W-whys that?" Camila asked, stumbling over her words slightly and mentally scolding herself because they had been talking a lot more lately, with their mutual project and all, but somehow she still manages to stutter like a sixteen year old girl with a crush.

But to be fair, she was a sixteen year old girl with a crush.

If Lauren noticed the stutter, she didn't mention it and instead opted for a nervous smile. Well what Camila thought she recognized as a nervous smile, but when has Lauren Jauregui ever been nervous? She's the hottest and most popular girl in school, she bathes in confidence.

Lauren stood up from the ground, brushing non existent dust off of her black skater skirt before holding her hand out in offer to help Camila up.

The brunette in question stared at her hand in shock, just looking at the pale hand that seemed to unbelievably soft to touch with her own. It looked soft and milky and the nails were painted a royal ivy color green that looked incredible with the contrast of her pale skin.

She was very alarmingly aware that if she took the slender fingers in her own that it'd be the first time that Camila had touched the Lauren Jauregui. Sure, Lauren had touched her more times then she can count on her fingers now with grazing hands, playful hits on her biceps, and teasing bumps of their shoulders to get the brunettes attention. But Camila had never been the one to touch Lauren, she had never stroked her bicep or placed her hand on top of Laurens. No, she had never touched the girl willingly. Not that she didn't want to because she did, she really really did but she was just a nervous wreck that melted when Lauren even gazed in her direction.

She noticed then that she had been starting at Lauren's hands with furrowed eyebrows and a blank silence for a few moments to long and now the girl seemed like she was gonna withdraw her hand with a worried look. Before she could do so, Camila felt her heart leap along with her hand and then she was holding on to the pale hand that had been the reason for her near breakdown moments before.

And as Lauren smiled and helped her up off the ground that she had knocked her on to, Camila confirmed in her mind that she was in fact correct, Lauren's hand was about the softest thing she had ever held in her own.

"Well Vero, Jake, me and a couple of our friends are gonna be going out after the game to celebrate and I was wondering if you wanted to come?" Lauren asked and it took a few moments for Camila to catch onto what was happening. One, because she forgot that they had even been taking before her silent dilemma. Two, because Lauren hadn't let go of her hand yet and was now just holding it gently in her own. And three, because did Lauren just invite her to hang out?

Camila thought she was gonna pass out. Not only did Lauren ask her to hang out but she in specific wanted Camila to come, was wondering if Camila would like to hang out with her and her friends.

Camila urged herself to stay cool and not stutter to much "Celebrating? What if we lose?" Camila mentally high fived herself for not stuttering.

Lauren smiled at that, rolling her eyes lightly "Jake is a very confident man" Was all she said and Camila nodded in understanding, Jake Houlton was a narcissistic dick and Camila expected nothing less from him.

"So will you come? You can even bring your friend, Dinah!" Lauren added the last part in an excited hurry, like it would help convince Camila to come.

Camila was taken back, she didn't know Lauren payed enough attention to her to know that she had a friend and even more taken back that Lauren knew the girl by first name. They had never even talked!

"Umm yeah- yeah okay" Camila stumbled on her words a little bit but Lauren didn't mind, just smiled so big it took up nearly half her blushing face.

"Great! I'll see you at the game. I can't wait to see you play, Camila" Lauren said, giving Camilas tan hand a squeeze before letting it go and skipping off to her first period that she was very late for, if the empty hallways were any indication.

And then Camila was left one again to choke air, light headed and heart skipping out of her chest because that was the first time that Lauren had ever said her name, her first name, her actual name. She didn't even know Lauren knew her name and now she was close to passing out, hearing it come out of the girls perfect both in her perfect voice.

Her head was on over drive and she felt like she suddenly forgot how to walk as her brain stopped functioning. It was only later that she had realized that she now had to play the very game that Normani had forbid her from playing.
