Chapter 12

"DINAH JANE HANSEN" Camila squealed, the once silent room collapsing with noise and causing the younger girl to jump nearly out of her own skin, the paperback book flailing from her hands in surprise and landing quietly across the room. The closed door swung open harshly, slamming against the wall behind it as Camila's small body came flying into the room.

"Jesus Christ Mila, you scared the shit out of me" Dinah breathed out, letting her wide eyes relax as they drew over the small figure practically shaking with excitement in front of her. Dinah raised an eyebrow at her friends overjoyed expression, never in her life had she seen Camila so happy and it was kind of creeping her out with the unfaltering manic smile.

"Guess what?!" Camila squealed, ignoring her best friends previous words and instead opting to jump up and down on the balls of her feet as she clasped her shaking hands together in front of her.

"You figured out what that weird smell coming from your bathroom is?" Dinah asked with a small roll of her eyes, knowing that that couldn't be the case but wanting to get a small revenge on her friend for making her throw her love story across the room. Especially when it was getting so good- Edward and Bella were just about to the dirty.

"What? No. Better" Camila urged her friend silently to continue guessing but it only earned her another eye roll.

"You're mom finally agreed to get you a dog?" Dinah asked after considering the question for a few seconds, using her arms to pull herself up into a sitting position on the queen sized bed with a huff.

"God, no, you suck at this, Hansen" Camila complained with a pout, her eyes masked with sadness as they silently begged the girl in front of her.

"Well it's not a very fun game. Just tell me what you're so hormonal over already" Dinah huffed, using her lazy hand to drawl a gesture for the shorter girl to spit the words out already.

The sadness that had taken over her expression melted away in mere seconds and was instantly replaced with that same estatic look as though Camila had just remembered her good news all over again, she squealed before clapping her hands together excitedly, "Okay, okay-" She paused for effect but it only earned her another small eye roll, "Lauren kissed me!" Camila squeaked happily, throwing her arms out in exaggeration.

Dinah's brown eyes widened to the size of saucers, her once grumpy attitude melting away in an instant as her jaw fell agape, "She kissed you?" She asked, not being able to fathom the new information.

"Yes! Well, I mean, no- I kissed her but she kissed me back!" Camila squealed once again, this time getting one from her best friend in return as her large hands clapped together in surprise.

"Oh my God, I can't believe it. Are you playing with me?" She asked with a slight laugh, earning an unimpressed glare from the smaller girl before she threw herself onto the queen sized bed, landing on Dinah's sprawled out legs and ignoring the whine that followed as Dinah withdrew her legs into a folded position. Camila layed down on her back at the foot of the bed, her brown orbs blinking up dreamily at the textured ceiling above them.

"No, it's completely real. She told me she liked me, like she actually likes me, and after I heard those words I just lost my sense of control and practically threw myself over the table to kiss her" Camila shared, smiling to herself as her clouded brown orbs darted across the ceiling.

"Wow, I didn't think you'd have it in you, Walz" Dinah chuckled, nudging her friend with a cheeky smirk and a proud glance that Camila chose to ignore as she threw her body up into a sitting position, spinning on the silk sheets to face her best friend.

"I didn't either honestly, but God I'm so glad I did because her lips are actual heaven- I swear it, dude. I could have cancer and kissing her would heal me in a matter of seconds" She ranted in a daze, her eyes staring off almost as if in a dream state as she lifted her hand to touch her lips, grazing her finger tips over the soft flesh with a growing smile.
