Chapter 15

(I once again accidentally published this before it was complete. I'm so sorry to anyone that was confused)

Dinah watches in a strange mix of horror filled dread and undeniable proudness as her best friend throws her fist into a boy twice her height and weight, sending his head snapping back and catching every single person walking by's attention. She watched the surprise and horror on Lauren's face as she watched Camila punch her ex straight in the nose. Jake punches the brunette back with all of his strength- and Dinah decides this is the time where she steps in and fends off the man so her tiny best friend doesn't get hurt, but she doesn't even get the chance to because Camila is suddenly punching back and kneeing Jake in the stomach, letting a sickly crack sound through Dinah's ears before the blonde fell to the ground with Camila practically on top of him.

Dinah watches with wide eyes as Camila threatens him, her voice is deep and raspy and really scary- nothing Dinah had ever heard come out of Camila's mouth before. And it catches her off guard because only seconds later she's smiling evily down at the blonde boy wheezing on the ground, before grabbing Lauren's arm and running off with a smile on her face.

It was nothing Dinah had ever seen, Camila Cabello was always the sweetest, smallest girl around. She was like a real life baby Labrador turned into a beautiful girl, and that's one of the many reasons Dinah loved her. But this, all of this that had happened lately, it was almost like it was changing Camila, turning her more devilish, more charimistic and brave. First with beating up the group of boys, and then with kissing Lauren, and now breaking the nose of Jake Houlton-- it was like Camila wasn't even herself anymore with all these extreme acts; just a month ago Camila couldn't even pick up her own backpack, much less break somebody's ribcage.

So as she watched Camila run away and the crowd around her start to disperse, groups of teenagers breaking off and streaming different directions throughout the busy hallway. She looked around for only a handful of seconds, brushing past and through different bodies of mumbling students, before her brown orbs caught sight of a certain dark haired girl leaning up against a locker, her eyes bored and stoned over as they watched students pass absentmindedly.

She quickly ran towards the dark skinned girl, hearing her tennis shoes squeak against the polished floor as she came to a sudden hault in front of Normani and her two friends by her side. All three looked up at her in sync, all of their eyebrows raised as if they were waiting for an explanation for why Dinah was standing idly in front of them, shifting on her feet anxiously.

But before Normani could ask what was on her mind, Dinah had already grabbed a hold of her wrist and was tugging her away with a quick apology aimed at the two friends looking at them with odd expressions. She nearly ran with Normani's wrist in her hand, dragging her all the way down the hall till they hit a classroom that Dinah knew would be empty, since the algebra teacher was on maternity leave.

She pulled Normani in before shutting the classroom door behind her and quickly turning around to face the highly unamused expression on her crush's face, "What do you need, Hansen?"

At first Dinah faltered in her strong posture and serious expression, almost fawning over the way that Normani said her last name with a gentle tone and the way that her words sounded more interested and concerned than annoyed like they usually did. But she quickly caught herself when Normani gave her a questioning look with a raise of her eyebrow, "We need to talk about Camila"

That slight care and gentleness in Normani's expression dropped the second that Camila's name left Dinah's mouth, is was like a switch had been flicked because now her beautiful face held annoyance and impatience as her eyes rolled dramatically and a sigh escaped her mouth, "What about Cabello?"
