"So are you going to tell me why you didn't show up after the lacrosse game?" Lauren asked after a minute or so of peaceful silence between the two classmates.

Camila's eyes widened at the girls unexpected words, panic suddenly overcoming her once calm thoughts.

Camila Cabello was a terrible liar, Dinah had pointed it out to her many many times before when she would attempt and fail to lie to the younger girl.

And she couldn't exactly just say Oh yah know, I was kidnapped by your best friend who took me to meet my werewolf father that I haven't seen in nine years- and turns out, I'm a werewolf as well. So, sorry I couldn't make it to your after party.

That would end in Lauren thinking that Camila was pshycotic, which Camila wasn't hundred percent convinced that she wasn't

"Oh um.. well I was- Dinah and I were... We um.. you know- we um" Camila turned into a stuttering mess, trying desperately to come up with any sort of excuse but for some weird reason, her mind was drawing completely blank.

Lauren watched the stuttering girl with a raised eyebrow and silent amusment. Watching as her cheeks envyed with red tint and her hands started to twist and flail as she stuttered on and on, until Lauren finally took pity on the young girl

"It's okay Cabello,  you don't need to tell me. I was simply wondering, I mean, Normani didn't show either-- but I kind of expected that from her anyway" Lauren finished with a slight chuckle, patting Camila's lower thigh innocently which made the brunettes brain short-circuit.

"I.. um- well- I.. I'm sorry Lauren, for not showing up. I was dealing with a.. a family problem" Camila said the last part with slight uncertainty but finished the sentence off with a bright smile that Lauren couldn't help return.

Camila mentally high-fived herself for finally coming up with some coherent words that didn't exactly involve lying.

"It's okay, you really didn't miss much anyway. It mostly just consisted of yelling and bragging from drunk lacrosse boys" Lauren said with a tilt of her head, rolling her eyes but keeping a small smile on her face that Camila returned.

"Wow, now I'm really sorry I missed out- ignorant, drunk, lacrosse playing teenage boys are my favorite people to be around" Camila said with sarcasm heavy in her voice, causing Lauren to laugh loudy- which in turn made their bioligy teacher give them a harsh glare from across the room.

They both simotanuiously hushed down, falling silent and adverting their eyes before turning their bodies forward as to face the teacher who was droning on about about X-Chromosones in a monotone voice-- even he looked bored with his own teachings.

Camila tried to follow his words with furrowed eyebrows, scribbilng down the important bits in a messy scrawl across her disorganized notes. Her pencil was tense in her hand and her eyes that were heavy with exhaustion from the lack of sleep she had gotten were quickly falling closed with lost interest. The only thing keeping her awake was the florecent lights shining through her fluttering eyelids and the sound of Dinah rambling quietly about last night's episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians to a lost looking Normani Kordei.

Camila was a little pissy at the Polynesian for exchanging words with the same girl that kidnapped them just last night, but she couldn't hold any real anger when she knew that Dinah had been keening after that girl since the 7th grade and it was only recently that Normani had let her engage in conversation with her. Which also surprised Camila- she couldn't figure out why a werewolf with dangerous anger issues would be trying that hard to follow the words of a rambling teenage human girl, but she tried not to think about it to hard.
