Camila felt her heart race like a beat in her chest, she could hear it like the blood was pumping through a speaker right next to her ear, which did nothing to sooth the speed.

The eyes staring back at her were no where near the innocent doe eyes that she normally saw in the mirror, these were vibrant and yellow, they looked dangerous and angry, so neon that Camila was sure they would glow through a pitch black night.

Camila blinked in disbelief, her hands shaking as they held the glasses. But when she opened her eyes again, they were gone, and the brown doe eyes were back, staring at her with fear through the shattered glass.

Camila let out a breath of air she didn't know she was holding in, keeping her eyes trained on the broken glasses. She couldn't help but wonder if she had just imagined all that (not the fight of course, she had three bruising boys to prove that), but her eyes. Had her mind made all that up? Had her adrenaline fucked with her brain and made her imagine glowing eyes? Did adrenaline even do that? Camila wouldn't know because Lauren fucking Jauregui sat a row in front of her in anatomy and physiology class, and of course Camila couldn't pay attention to shit when she was sitting so beautifully only a few feet away.

Foot steps snapped Camila out of her trance. Fast and distressed footsteps that screeched on the white floor as high-top sneakers came to a sudden halt and a worried, very loud voice came screeching.

"Oh my god! Camila! I was waiting for you in the lunch room but you never came and I started to get worried, I'm so so sorry, I should've came and got you from class. Are you okay?" The worried voice came out in rambles as the blonde dropped to her knees in front of Camila and grabbed her face to check for any signs of injuries.

"I'm fine, Dinah" Camila whispered, her voice coming out hoarse. She let her friend check her for any injuries, though there wouldn't be any (other than her wolf bite) because those boys didn't even get a chance to do her any harm.

"I should've know Austin would find a way to get you alone, he's such a fucking tool, and I should've been here to protect you from him, I'm sorry. Are you okay?" Dinah didn't show any signs of acknowledging Camila's words as she moved on to the smaller girls arms, seeing if there was any noticable flaws on her skin there.

"I'm fine, Dinah" Camila repeated a little louder this time, rolling her eyes at her friends excessive worry.

"I didn't even think about him when I got out of class, I just skipped breakfast so I was really hungry so I ran to lunch but I should've come to get you and made sure no one laid a hand on you, are you okay?" Dinah had now moved on to lift up Camilas blue V-neck and check her stomach for any flaws on her skin.

"I SAID IM FINE, DINAH" Camila yelled, pushing the blonde away and pulling her shirt down, snapping the younger girl back into existence as she looked at Camila apologetically.

"How?"

"What do you mean how?"

"I saw Austin and two of his meat head friends running away from this hallway as I was searching for you. They looked like they were running for their life's, I was scared that they had like killed you and were now on the run" Dinah shared, a frown on her face as a smirk grew on Camilas lips.

"Why are you smirking at me? And what happened to your glasses, how can you see?"

----------

"WAIT WHAT?!" Dinah all but screamed, her voice full of disbelief and excitement. She paced in front of Camila, her arms going wild as she tried to comprehend what her best friend was telling her.

"I-"

"You beat up Austin! And you have glowing eyes, and super hearing?" Dinah cut off the small girl who was sitting on the right slide of her bed, her feet dangling off the side, her hands clenched in the black silky sheets, and her head eyes trained on the ground.
