Poseidon Cabin
Percy p.o.v.
I sighed as I stepped out of my cabin, looking at it with longing. I was going to miss this place, even if the air was slowly killing me...
I took a deep breath and picked up my bag. I packed it last night and threw it outside in anger. I still couldn't believe I was thrown away like that, treated like that. I'm not gonna say some stupid stuff, like how I was the ' savior ' and didn't deserve to be treated that way. In the end, I never really cared about saving Mount Olympus, I did it to save my father and my friends.
I took another deep breath as I turned on my heel, passing by the strawberry fields. A few campers were working on harvesting them, and they seemed hard at work.
I bitterly thought that could be me as well, I actually didn't mind doing all the work around the camp. I was always happy to help anyone who needed me. But now they don't want me. I can't believe they thought I would actually do something like that. My fatal flaw is loyalty after all!
I sighed as I continued walking, until I made it to Thalia's pine tree. I nodded to Pelus, who was curled up around her tree. He lazily eyed me as I approached him, but he set his head down, looking like he was trying to sleep.
I sighed as I rested my hand on Thalia's pine tree, thinking about better times. My thoughts were broken as I heard a familiar laugh. The one that had me whipped for so long, and still does. I looked down and saw a couple holding hands.
My heart broke all over again as I saw my Wise Girl being all flirty flirty with that stupid son of Zeus. Devin's stupid smirk somehow caught Annabeth's attention and broke her love for me. I don't get the appeal, the kid is just a slimy, no good, lying scum bag.
I shook my head and took out the box I worked so hard for. I opened it, and gazed longingly at the object inside. I closed it, and whispered to myself, " One day, one day things can go back to the way they used to be. "
I put it back into my pocket, and rubbed Pelus' head gently, before walking down the hill towards the mortal world.
In Olympus
The Gods slowly trickled in, some because they were actually late, others because of what happened.
Zeus was waiting for them to all assemble, and when they did, he said, " We have gathered for the winter solstice once more. While we have many topics to discuss, I believe I know the most concerning one. Today, we lost a great hero. "
A few gods looked at Poseidon in pity. In return, Poseidon glared at them, not feeling like himself. He was so torn from the inside. He knew Percy couldn't commit such vile acts, but at the same time, he represented Poseidon the most out of all his children. He was the most unpredictable out of them all. It made sense on a certain level, and it caused doubt to plant itself in his head. He got so lost in his thoughts, he jumped as he realized the meeting was still going on.
Zeus was saying, " -ing, so, since Poseidon already disowned his former child, the water itself shall slowly poison him, until he is dead. That is correct brother, right? "
Poseidon grimaced, and nods. He had never disowned a child before. He had to admit, it hurt to do so. To cut a connection with someone he loved so much, it felt like it was killing him. The pain was so intense, that it was hard for Poseidon to maintain any control over the ocean.
Zeus noticed his brother's mood, and made a change in subject. He turned towards Athena, and said, " My daughter, do you have any idea of future threats we should avoid? "
This caused Athena's eyes to shimmer as she explained so many plans to them. Most of the Gods' eyes glazed over. Some looked interested. Others weren't listening in general. The room suddenly quieted as Zeus realized something. He said, " Where is Hestia? Why is she not at her hearth? "
The gods couldn't come up with an answer, so some brushed it off. A few, namely Athena, Zeus, Hermes, and Poseidon seemed to know better.
Percy was the first demigod to sacrifice something to her, ever. He recognized her, respected her, and trusted her with Hope. No demigod was anything like Percy Jackson was. No demigod might ever be like him again. Him being disowned must have been the reason she wasn't there.
With that depressing thought, Zeus dismissed the meeting.
Back at Camp Half-Blood
A girl with a winter parka, jeans held together with pins, spiky black hair, and startling electric blue eyes stood by her pine tree. She put her hand on it and smiled, remembering the old times with Luke and Annabeth. Speaking of which, the girl looked down at the camp. It was around midday, meaning lunch time. Her stomach growled at the thought of food, and she sighed, walking down into the amphitheater and sat down at the Zeus table.
She received a few odd stares, but the people soon realized it was Thalia Grace, daughter of Zeus sitting down. They shrugged it off and went back to eating their food.
Thalia noticed that Percy was missing, so she decided to go the best source, Annabeth. She always knew what was up with that Seaweed Brain.
She check the Athena cabin, but didn't find her there. She checked the forest, the Big House, but had no luck. She then smacked her forehead. How could she forget about Percy and Annabeth's spot! Percy used to always talk about it before she left.
Thalia jogged towards it, then stopped dead in her tracks when she saw Annabeth. But that's not what shocked her. It was who she was with. It definitely not Percy. She narrowed her eyes, and decided it was her stupid brother, Devin.
Gods that kid was annoying. It was always about him, he was the greatest in his eyes. His fatal flaw is apparently being Egotistical. He always has to be the better one.
Thalia snapped from my thoughts as she saw Annabeth kiss him. Thalia stared in shock for a few seconds until she said, " Annie! What in Hades are you doing?! Get away from him! "
Annabeth jumped, then relaxed when she saw me. She got up and said, " Hey Thals. Things here have gotten, difficult, to say the least. "
Thalia said, " Annie, where is Percy? "
Annabeth flinched, her jawline clenched up, and her eyes grew hard. She managed to get out, " He betrayed us, so we disowned him. Poseidon included. "
She stared at her in surprise, then said in a quiet and deadly serious tone, " Annie, this is Percy we are talking about. This is the boy who fell into Tartarus for you. Into freaking Tartarus! His fatal flaw is loyalty! How could he even BEGIN to think about betraying you?! "
Annabeth started to cry softly, and Devin walked up and comforted her.
Thalia glared at Devin, but he just smirked at her and walked away with Annabeth.
She sat down on the beach reeling, thinking things such as, " If Percy is really gone, why is Annabeth sad? " and " What did he even do to get disowned by his father? "
So many questions flew around her mind, and she decided tomorrow, she would get answers. Thalia went to Artemis' cabin, got into bed, and promptly fell asleep.
