Percy's p.o.v.
I whirled around reaching out in my pocket and uncapping Riptide, only to be thrown to the side. I screaming out in agony as I felt my break nearly break, falling to the ground coughing up blood.
I looked up to see the Titan Atlas, and barely managed to get out, " H-How are you out from under the sky? "
The titan said, " That foolish goddess thought she could beat me again. And now I have you all to myself, Perseus Achilles Jackson. I shall have the pleasure of killing you, and I will revel in the feeling as I water the ground with your blood. "
I growled as I got up, all of my hatred from the years starting to erupt. I let out a battle scream and charged him.
As I ran up to him, I vaguely hear August start an Iris message frantically. I'll have to ask her later how she figured out how to do that, and how she got a drachma.
I slashed my sword at Atlas, but he pulled out a sword of his own. He met my slash with one of his own strength.
I growled as I was forced to be on the defensive. It seemed no matter what I did, Atlas had me beat. It was a rhythm, duck, slash, parry, fall back, and repeat. Suddenly, Atlas did something unexpected. He knocked me down, then grabbed my arm. He ripped it off, and all I felt was pain. My vision went red, and I felt a liquid that was making my body scream in agony drip down my sides. Gods it hurt so much, but the blood hurt worse. I got knocked back into reality, literally. Atlas threw me onto the ground
I cried out in pain as I got thrown back. I got up shaking, and muttered to myself, " Gods, I'm so weak right now. But it doesn't matter...it never did. I need to stop him from hurting everyone that I once cared about. "
In my head, I heard the words Athena spoke so long ago. ' Personal loyalty is your fatal flaw. It's one of the worst flaws to have because it is the most dangerous one. You would sacfrifice the world to save your friends. '
I weakly chuckled, and said, " Loyalty, huh? Maybe Athena was right after all... "
I weakly raised my sword arm, the world starting to spin. I took a few hesitant steps, and charged him. I slashed at his body, but met nothing. He moved so fast that my strike missed completely.
I saw in the corner of my eye as Atlas drew out a dagger, cutting my Achilles heel deeply. I winced as I fell to the ground, then used my anger to slash upwards at his chest. I yelled in a terrified voice, " That was for killing your daughter, my friend! "
Atlas started to say something, but my hearing suddenly didn't work. It was like someone hit the mute button on the world.
My arm fell to its side, useless now. I saw Riptide hit the floor, clattering in a pool of my own blood. Liquid that was radiating hate towards me.
I barely felt the blade hit my back. I winced as my blood spattered over my body, feeling the pain as it tried to dissolve my skin. As I fell down, I saw a faint figure who looked like she was screaming my name, her features consumed with grief, anger, and sadness.
I saw the ground come towards my face, my vision failing me. My last thought was about leaving everyone unprotected, something I swore to never do. Maybe in my next life...and then all I saw was black.
I blinked, then saw myself in a place I thought I'd never see again at least not for awhile. The DOA Recording Studios.
Muzak was still playing softly on hidden speakers. The carpet and walls were a steel gray. Pencil cactuses grew in the corners like skeleton hands. The furniture was black leather, and litetally every seat taken.
