Percy's p.o.v.

Somewhere in Maryland

I sighed as I sat on a stump, looking at all of the golden dust around me.

Geez, these monsters have gotten super aggresive lately.

At first, it was just the occasional hellhound, but now it's packs of giants, a few telkhines (which had oxygen masks on, don't ask me why), and one weird looking demigod.

I couldn't being myself to kill him, so I knocked him out.

It was actually kinda pathetic how easily he fell down, but the kid looked malnorished and tired.

I stood up and winced, holding my side. I slowly walked towards the kid and bumped him with the sole of my shoe.

" Are you awake dude? "

The kid shot upright, his eyes wide open and wild looking.

He focused on me and said, " The boy! I must kill the boy! "

He took me off guard by tackling my legs, making me yelp in surprise.

He whipped out a dagger and stabbed it deep into my leg, drawing a cry of pain from me.

I did something Annabeth taught me, which just happened to be the judo flip, on the kid.

It was awkward doing it on the ground, but I managed.

The kid cried out in pain, then looked at my leg.

He shrieked, " I have done it master! "

A few seconds later I stared in horror as his whole body just, fell apart. It was like someone made him out of tiny legos, except the legos were human color.

I retched, emptying the contents of my stomach on this poor patch of grass.

When I looked up, the kids body had turned into golden dust, which freaked me out so bad.

I shakily got up, ripped the dagger out, and winced horribly.

I started to feel really weak as I wrapped a t-shirt around the wound, regretting my decision to try and find Henry again.

But, nonetheless, I got up and went on my merry way again.

As I wandered around, I saw a bunch of metal statues, but I couldn't tell who they were. They were so corroded, so rusted that they were unidentifiable.

It's not like I could actually remember them, I never cared for that stuff.

I winced again, the bleeding making me feel weaker and weaker.

I gulped and took out some ambrosia. I eyed it for a few moments, before eating some. My body immediately revolted, making me gag.

It tasted horrible, like someone left bad milk out, a racoon ate it, and I then proceeded to eat the racoon roadkill.

I barely held it down, then noticed I wasn't healing. Or at least, it didn't feel like I was.

I looked at my side, and saw the wound closed, so it seemed that ambrosia healed me, but left me in pain.

Great, like I need more of that in my life.

A sudden howl from my left forced me to put that aside.

I dodged to the side as a hellhound tried to pounce on me, making me groan.

I looked for anything I could use as a weapon, then groaned as it pinned me down.

I could feel my arms slowly starting to break, making me grit my teeth in pain.

I braced myself for the pain of it ripping my head off, but all I got was a lick in the face.
