On the train

New York

3rd person p.o.v.

Thalia stared at Percy, shocked beyond belief that she was right in front of him. His once sparkling eyes that were so full of life were now staring into space, broken and so full of pain.

Thalia jumped as Percy sighed heavily and closed his eyes. She went to touch him, but stopped, realizing she couldn't. She bit back a curse, remembering her promise. She got up and sighed, saying, " I have to go Seaweed Brain, don't die, ok? "

Percy jumped when he realized who was talking, and stared at her in shock, saying quietly, " T-Thals? Why are you here? How did you find me?... "

Thalia stared at the savior of Olympus for a few seconds, before saying, " I swore on the Styx to find you Perce....but I also swore on the Styx to Lady Artemis to report when I found you, the instant I did. I have to go.....don't die on me, ok Seaweed Brain? "

Percy laughed bitterly and said, " In case you didn't know Thals, I am slowing dying, thanks to my father. " He said father in such a harsh tone, and Thalia had a sinking feeling that things were a whole lot worse than what she saw. " I will try not to die Pinecone Face, but if I do die, just know, you'll probably see me in the Fields of Asphodel..."

The train was quiet, the mortals not even realizing the two demigods were there. The rumbles from the trains movement seemed to bring only a few seconds of peace between the old friends. Thalia looked towards Percy, her mouth opening and closing a few times.

Thalia wanted to know more, but she sighed and moved forward. She hugged Percy gently. Percy jumped and stayed still in shock, no one but his mother had touched him for a year. He closed his eyes as Thalia said, " We both know you won't die, not until you fix whatever is wrong. And if you do die, you'll wish for the Fields of Asphodel. "

Percy gulped and nods, knowing Thalia would get really, really scary when that happened.

The train gave them a slight jerk as it slowed down, the doors gave off a soft ding as they opened to another station.

Thalia chuckled at his face as she pulled away, saying, " I'll see you later Seaweed Brain, you better visit. "

Percy nodded shakily, and said in a slightly strained voice, " Yes Ma'am. "

Thalia walked out the train then turned around as the doors closed.

Percy stared at her as she gave him a small smile, one that held what looked like quite a lot of mixed emotions. Percy's corner of his lips slowly went up, giving her a small smile. It was one of the first genuine smiles he had given in awhile. Percy gave her a small wave as the train started to move away. He didn't seem to notice the tear that went down Thalia's face as she waved back.

Outside the train station

Thalia's p.o.v.

I wiped away the few tears I let fall as I stepped out the train station. I started to walk towards Sally's house to find out some dam answers, but I sighed as I instead went towards the country side of New York. My stupid promise on the Styx forced me to go to Lady Artemis.

I got lost in my thoughts after a few minutes, trying to figure out what Percy meant when he said he was already dying. It made no sense, he seemed healed to me. A little tired, yes. In pain, most definitely . But he seemed to be fine. I did recall him having some trouble speaking near the end of our conversation, but I brushed it off as he was just having trouble speaking.

I snapped from my thoughts as I heard a girl voice say, " Hey Grace! Got your head stuck in the clouds again?! "

I looked up to see my fellow Huntress, Pheobe.
