Camp Half-Blood
Percy p.o.v.
I groaned as I slowly got up, the sky was darkened, I heard swords clashing.
I looked down the hill towards the camp and saw a few campers practicing, but their swings were in slow motion, their bodies sluggish.
" You are not in slow motion Perseus Jackson, you are simply being affected by my presence. "
I looked towards the person, and I saw a winged woman, her blue eyes staring me down.
I blinked, and said, " Uh, hello? Which goddess are you? "
She narrowed her eyes, and said, " That does not matter. "
I blinked and I recognized her.
" Nike? Why are you here? "
Nike growled and snapped out, " Silence! You will not win if you do not sacrifice your life Jackson! Even you must know this, victory is everything! "
I flinched and muttered, " Forgot how loud you were. "
I cleared my throat, and said, " I figured that much out. But why is everything slow? "
Nike scoffed, and said, " I am also a goddess of speed, do not believe Hermes when he says he is the fastest. I am, I always win! Victory! "
I rolled my eyes, and said, " How do I beat him? "
Nike said, " Same spot, but information comes with a price Perseus Jackson. Your sister for victory. "
I immediately said, " Absolutely not, there has to be another way. "
Nike said quickly, " Your fatal flaw will be the death of us all Jackson! You must not sacrifice the world for your friends! Loyalty is the worst trait to have! "
I flinched, the insult stung.
" Look past yourself and your peers! The whole world will end if Kronos takes over again! I will not accept failure! "
I went to protest, but she started to glow, saying, " You need to make the choice Perseus, or all is lost. "
I looked away as the world lit up, sighed heavily.
I walked back down into the camp, everyone was still frozen for some reason. Well, except for that pair practicing.
I watched as the world slowly sped up, until it went back to it's normal pace.
Everyone looked stunned and confused.
I walked up to Chiron, his eyes full of sympathy for me. Something told me he knew what was gonna happen.
I cleared my throat and said, " I know how to kill him, now it's just a matter of doing it. Also, August, can you make me some more of that water? It would be nice to have some that I can drink without it feeling like I'm drinking acid. "
August blinked, just coming out of it, but nodded slowly.
She walked off to the lake, leaving me alone with Annabeth, Thalia and Chiron.
I looked at Annabeth, avoiding her piercing gaze, and managed to get out, " I need to talk to you alone. That okay with everyone? "
Chiron nodded and left without a word, Thalia gave me a confused look, but left nonetheless.
I took a deep breath and prepared myself.
Annabeth sat down at the table and said softly, " I already know Percy. "
