Harmony
A week went by and I still hadn't received a call from Drake. I should have known, why would a hugely known celebrity call me? Not that I'm unattractive or anything, but I'm not famous. I sighed and closed my MacBook and put it in my tote. I stayed at the office late tonight to finish this piece I had been working on and now it was done. I yawned and glanced at my phone. 11:22 P.M. Lord knows I did not feel like driving but I guess I was going to have to tonight. After locking up my office, I headed towards the elevator when my phone rang.
"Hello?" I answered groggily.
"Harmony, I been hoping to hear your voice again."
I smiled to myself. "Drake, I didn't think you'd call."
"Sorry, I've been extremely busy lately. I meant to text you and reschedule our lunch date, but it slipped my mind." He explained.
I pushed the lobby button on the elevator. "It's totally fine, I've been busy too, ya know with work and everything."
"Oh, well that's cool." He said. "Listen, I'm coming back to Atlanta in a few days. Maybe we can have dinner? Forreal this time." He laughed.
I laughed along with him. "Sure. Just text me when you're in town."
"I most definitely will. See you soon, Harmony."
"See you, Drake."
"Please, call me Aubrey." He insisted.
"Oh, well see you soon, Aubrey."
He chuckled. "Bye."
"Bye." I hung up.
I let out a huge breath. Oh my gosh, and here I was about to go crazy. I walked to my car and drove home with a smile on my face.
"Oh my gosh, so when are y'all going on y'all date?" Tiffany exclaimed.
I pulled the phone away from my ear. "Ugh Tiff, if you gone scream for everything I tell you, I'm finna hang up." I giggled.
"I'm sorry." She said. "I'm just shocked, happy and curious all in one. I can't believe my girl is finna go on a date with the one and only, Mr. Drake. Like that's huge!"
"I know, I know. But I'm trying to stay cool. I can't go on no date looking like a crazed fan who so happened to get a date with him."
She scoffed. "Well, be sure to tell me all the juicy details. I gotta go, my motherly duties is awaiting."
"Okay girl, I'll talk to you later." I hung up.
I arose from my bed and checked my clock. It was the late afternoon and I was just getting up on this Sunday morning. In came running Chanel, my yorkie I love oh so much. I adopted her from a local animal shelter when she was a few days old and I have just fallen in love with her. I got up and put on my black leggings and a Nike sports bra. I put Chanel on her leash and put on my favorite Roshes. After grabbing my water bottle from the fridge, I headed outside for my daily workout. I made my way down my driveway when I interrupted by my annoying next door neighbor, Tyler.
Now don't get me wrong, Tyler is a fine, wealthy man. He was 6'4", had a gorgeous brown tan, and a smile that could stop traffic. But after his divorce with his wife of 4 years, he is on the prowl and hella thirsty. Ever since I moved to the neighborhood, he been trying to find some way to get in my panties.
"Good afternoon, Ms. Daniels." He smirked at me.
I rolled my eyes. "Hey Tyler. How has your day been going so far?"
