Three days later...
Harmony
I wrapped my wet hair in a towel and stepped into the hotel room.
"Aubrey, you've literally been sitting in the same spot since I got in the shower. Come on, we have to finish packing up."
He groaned. "Baby, we don't leave until tomorrow. We can do all this packing tonight." He pulled me into his lap. "Just chill out."
I pouted. "You're such a procrastinator."
"I know." He pecked my lips. "You talked to your ma?"
"Yeah, she was trying to compare our schedules to see when we would be able to come and see her. We're available in two weeks, if you want to go."
"Of course," He stood up and sat me on the bed. "I'd love to go. I wanna see Arkansas and how you grew up."
I giggled. "Okay, but I'm telling you now. It's a little bit country."
"Girl, I ain't scared to ride some horses and milk cows." He said in a fake country accent.
"Not that country." I laughed.
Later that day, it was around six so Karrechue & I were in my room once again, finding an outfit for our last dinner in Fiji.
"Honestly, I feel like this trip has brought Chris and I closer. We hadn't been able to be around each other that much with him always working." She stated, sipping her champagne.
"I hear you," I replied, laying my black dress on the bed. "Aubrey and I haven't been able to just sit and enjoy each other much either. But we just bought our new house and we're moving in once we make it back to Atlanta."
She smiled really big and wide. "So you guys are moving in together? I heard it around but haven't made it around to ask you."
"Yes, it's true. I was a little nervous when he asked though. This house had to get some things done to it though, safety precautions and stuff."
Kae got up and flattened out her dress. "Well, how blessed are we? We got the guys of our dreams, living this relaxing life while soaking it all up in Fiji."
I clinked my glass with Kae. "Most definitely."
We all went to our separate dinners with our significant others that night.
"How's your food?" Aubrey asked, looking up from his plate of food.
"Amazing, how's yours?"
"Same." He replied, giving me that big cheesy smile.
I blushed and looked down. I couldn't believe I was getting this high school feeling in my body all over again, as if he was my longtime crush I finally got a date with.
"What's up? Why you blushing?"
I looked up and stared at him. "I'm just so lucky to have you. You motivate me to be better, you love me harder than I ever been before. You make me happy, baby."
He smirked and grabbed my hand on the table. "You do the same for me." He leaned over and kissed my lips passionately. "Where's this coming from, you okay?"
I sighed. "I don't know, I just realized I'm finally happy and content with my life right now. I have an amazing job, a loving boyfriend, a beautiful home. I'm just really happy."
"I'm glad you're happy. If you're happy, so am I."
I picked up my wine glass and raised it. "To us."
He did the same. "To us." We clinked our glasses together and enjoyed our dinner.Drake
After a memorable night with Harmony, morning came. The ride back to Atlanta was relaxing, which was a plus because once we made it back, the house was our first stop.
"I'm excited to see it finished." Harmony said, adjusting in the passenger seat.
"I'm ready to move in. Your place is getting a little bit cramped with all those boxes."
She giggled and hit my arm. "Don't talk about my house. You're the one whose all OCD about everything. You want a box for blue shirts, red shirts; that's real extra, Aubrey."
"No, that's organized. By the way, I hope you color coordinated your clothes for our closet."
She glared at me. "You must be crazy." She unbuckled her seatbelt as we pulled into the circular driveway.
I turned off the car and we made our way into the house.
"Come look at the new carpet in the living room! It's so soft and white." Harmony shouted.
I walked towards the living room where it was completely different from when we last seen it.
"And look, she changed that chandelier for me. That one looks way more elegant than that big bulk of shit that was there at first."
"What happened to the kitchen?" I asked, walking towards it. "It's burgundy. I thought we decided to go for that burnt orange color."
Harmony came up behind and wrapped her arms around my waist. "I told the lady this color compliments the white more than the orange. I thought I told you."
I turned around to face her. "So you know what you doing?"
She giggled. "Obviously baby." She pecked my lips. "We also need to get our stuff in here because the shipment for the new stuff I ordered should be here in a few days."
"Alright. You ready to go?" I asked.
"Yep."Harmony
When Aubrey sets his mind to something, there's no stopping him. He said we'd have this house fully furnished in a week. Five days later, we're almost done.
"And set it down nice and easy, guys." He said, carrying the dining room table alone with two of the men from the company. "Thanks gentlemen." He handed them both a hundred dollar bill.
"No problem, sir." One of them replied and they left.
Aubrey turned to me as I sat on the kitchen counter, watching him.
"You just staring, you wasn't gone help?" He joked.
I giggled. "Hell nah, and break my freshly done nails? Plus, you look cute working up a sweat."
He smirked and stood between my legs. "How cute?"
I laid my arms on his shoulders. "Real cute."
He puckered his lips at me, indicting he wanted a kiss. I kissed him and bit his bottom lip, which he hates.
"Harmonyyyyy." He whined.
"Whattttttt?" I mocked him.
He pulled away and rubbed his lip. "You know I don't like that rough shit."
I laughed so hard at his attempt to be mad when he clearly wasn't. I pulled him back in front of me.
"I'm sorry, crybaby. I won't do it again, okay?"
He nodded and kissed me again. I bit his lip again just to make him mad.
"Okay, keep playing with me. I'm gone do something you don't like." He said, walking to the fridge.
I hopped off the counter as my phone rang in my back pocket. I seen it was my mom calling so I put her on speaker. "Hi mommy."
"Hey babygirl. What are you doing?"
"Just finished moving the last stuff into the new house." I replied.
Aubrey mouthed to me to tell her he said hey.
"Aubrey says hi by the way."
"He says hi? Tell him to be a man and speak to me. I don't know what you told him, Harms. He so afraid of me."
I giggled and handed to the phone to Aubrey.
"Hi Mrs. Daniels." He said, leaning on the counter.
I stood in front of him, wrapping my arms around him as I listened in on their conversation.
"Mrs. Daniels? Why so formal? It's Ma, Aubrey."
"Hey ma." He chuckled. "How have you been?"
"Fine, I know you guys been good. Every time I pick up a magazine or look at tv, y'all on there."
He laughed. "Yeah, paparazzi has a way of being everywhere we are. But listen, we're all ready to come see y'all on Friday."
"I'm glad, I'm ready to see y'all too. Lauren and Anthony can't wait to meet you, Aubrey." She said, referring to my younger siblings. "I cleaned up the guest room all nice and pretty so you guys'll be nice and comfortable."
"Alright ma. We'll call you later on tonight to tell you goodnight but We have to finish putting things away so we'll talk to you later, alright?"
"Alright. Be safe y'all, love y'all."
"I love you too mommy!" I yelled into the phone.
"Geez, Harms. I'm not deaf." She said before hanging up.
I giggled and grabbed my phone from him.
"Ah, ah, ah. Don't be snatching stuff, that's not real polite." He remarked.
I leaned on the island as I checked my messages. "Yeah yeah yeah."
He smacked both of my buttcheeks as hard as he could before walking upstairs. "Love ya!"This is just a filler chapter, y'all. Longer chapters coming soon.
Aubrey to the side.
