Harmony

I was in my home office when I heard the front door close.

"Harmony?!" I heard Aubrey yell.

"I'm in the office." I yelled back.

I finished typing this article as he walked in with a bag.

"What's in the bag?" I smiled, taking off my glasses.

He held it up. "Chicken wings."

"Aw, thanks baby. I was going to go grab lunch later but thanks for saving me a trip." I kissed him as he sat the bag in front of me.

"I got you the hot wings because I know you like em hot." He sat in the seat in front of my desk.

I sat the container of food in front of me and ate a fry. "So I got approved for a week off work. So we need to go ahead and plan this vacation."

"Debra, my manager already planned everything. She booked the hotel and we'll have a private jet to transport us there." He smiled, putting his attention back to his phone.

"Awww, so how long is the flight?" I asked.

He bit his lip. "This is probably the longest flight you'll ever take. It's about 15 hours."

I sighed. "At least we'll be together and in a comfortable plane by ourself."

"Exactly." He smiled again then stood up.

I wiped my mouth with a napkin. "Where you going?"

"I actually have to go pack."

"Why? Where are you going?" I raised a eyebrow.

He laughed. "Calm down, I have to go to LA for a day or two to handle some business, then I'm going to Miami for 3 days."

I crossed my arms and sat back. "When did you plan on telling me?"

"I just told you."

I kissed my teeth. "So if I wouldn't have asked, you wouldn't have told me?"

"Of course, I don't leave for another 3 days. I'm sure it would have came up. I just found out about it anyways." He scratched the back of his head.

"I'm sure." I went back to eating my food.

He leaned on my desk, coming face-to-face to me. "Can you chill out? I was gone tell you, girl. Just be grateful I'm making money for this big ass house you want."

I rolled my eyes. "Don't talk like I'm just sitting on my ass, not doing anything."

He leaned in and pecked my lips. "You said it, not me." He smirked.

"Boy whatever." I smacked my lips and pushed him off my desk.

"Aye girl," He said, straighten his shirt out. "Don't be pushing all this because if I end up breaking some, we gone be broke."

I laughed. "I wasn't broke before I met you and I damn sure won't be afterwards."

He walked towards the door. "Okay, keep talking all your shit." He laughed. "But I have to go pack so you have fun doing nothing."

"Oh I will!" I yelled after him.

Two days later, Aubrey ended up leaving early so I was out to lunch with my girls, Arabella and Tiffany. It was a gorgeous day in Atlanta so we sat outside.

"So how's my baby boy, Tiff?" I asked, referring to her son.

She sighed. "Girl, just as active as he wants to be. He didn't give me no type of sleep last night."
