Alicia rolled her suitcase behind her, looking for Matt's car. She smiled widely as she saw Andrea running towards her. Andrea screamed, attacking her best friend with hugs. The two had been apart for a bit over a week, but they had missed each other a lot.
"Bitch, I missed you!" Andrea laughed, pulling away from the hug.
"Missed you more, rat." Alicia giggled, following her back to the car. Matt climbed out of the car, giving her a quick hug before helping her put her luggage in the trunk.
"Hey, Joba!" Alicia smiled widely, opening his door and giving him a big hug.
"Hope you've been treating my girl right while I've been gone." Alicia smirked, crossing her arms.
"It's literally been a week." Joba answered flatly, making everyone else laugh.
Alicia climbed in the passenger's seat and the four were off to their apartment.
"Ian couldn't come?" Alicia asked, turning in the seat to face Joba and Andrea. They were whispering among themselves, completely missing Alicia's question because they were in their own little world.
"Holy shit. Am I invisible?" She asked, turning to face Matt. He chuckled, shaking his head.
"We all are."
"Wait, that was like fake deep. Say that shit again." Alicia joked, the two of them cracking up.
The car ride was pretty long, traffic from LAX always being a huge pain. They were basically in standstill traffic for a while, killing time by singing along to their music and asking Alicia about her trip. Once they finally got to the apartment, Joba, Andrea, and Alicia hopped out of the car. She grabbed her luggage from the back of the car and leaned down to the passenger window.
"You're not coming in, Champion?" Alicia questioned, raising an eyebrow.
"Gotta go record." Matt shrugged.
"I'll see you later then, we can go grab some burritos." She smirked, making him roll his eyes and laugh.
He drove off as the the three headed up the stairs, joking all the way up the stairs. Roy was coming over too, they hadn't seen him in a while.
Andrea opened the door and ploppled down on the couch. Joba jokingly rested on top of her. She laughed and ruffled his faded pink hair.
"You're cute, care bear." Joba said, looking up at her as she laid next to them. Andrea would call Joba a care bear since his pink hair and sweetness always reminded her of them, so they would call each other that playfully.
Andrea kissed him softly as she kept playing with his hair.
Alicia rolled her eyes at the spectacle. She didn't want to be mean, but it seemed that everyone around her was all lovey dovey and she was the outsider. Plus, PDA really bothered her.
"Can we ever talk about something else?" Alicia asked, getting a water bottle from the fridge and making Andrea frown.
"Are you okay, girlie?" Andrea asked, turning her head to face her.
"Yeah sorry, its just I feel like apart from this love stuff."
"I mean, Matt is still in the picture."
"Please don't start with that." Alicia muttered, opening her water bottle. She wanted to stop talking about feelings and emotions.
"Oh by the way, I booked that manicure we planned for us tomorrow." She said, walking over to the living room.
"Tomorrow? At what time?"
"Like noon."
"Um." Andrea looked over at Joba and back to Alicia "Me and Joba were gonna go Six Flags tomorrow."
Alicia scoffed. "Of course you are."
"What does that mean?" Joba asked furrowing his eyebrows.
"I'm talking to Andrea, buddy."
"Hey, what the hell." Andrea said getting up.
"You're cancelling on plans we made last week to hang out with Joba? I'm sorry but y'all hang out all the fucking time."
"So? I get that you're like a third wheel but I'm happy with him! A good friend would be happy for me."
"And that means you should just ignore me? I barely see you anymore, and I was really looking forward to this to be able to catch up and spend some time together. Does that make me a bad person?" Alicia yelled.
"Well maybe I need a fucking break from you! We're always together! Why can't I hang out with other people?"
"A break? I was just gone for over a week. You spent the entire time together, and you're gonna flake on me just to hang out with your boyfriend? How long is this gonna last, huh? Who's gonna be the one to deal with you when he's gone?"
"Oh you're one to talk, huh? You're so fucking afraid of commitment, you can't even be with someone that's good for you! You just hop around from one asshole to the next because you know they'll dump you. At least I know what I want!"
"Ugh I dont even wanna look at you right now!"
"Fine, you don't have to!" Andrea yelled as she grabbed Joba's hand and stormed out of the apartment.
Alicia screamed in frusation and sat on the couch, the tears forming in her eyes. Alicia hated crying, and she usually only did so when she was extremely frustrated.
A few minutes later, the doorbell rang and Alicia groaned.
She opened the door and yelled "What!" to the person on the other side of the door.
"Hello to you too." Roy muttered, entering the apartment and flopping down on the couch.
"Why are you crying, bubs?" He asked, patting the spot next to him. Alicia sighed, sitting down next to him and smiling slightly at the childhood nickname.
"Andrea and I just got into a huge fight, like the biggest fight we've ever gotten in. I fucked up." Alicia sighed, putting her head in her hands.
"How bad?"
"Like I basically tore her and Joba's relationship to shreds in front of both of them."
"Why did you do that?" Roy sighed, resting his hand on the girls back supportively.
"She cancelled our plans that we made last week to hang out with him. We haven't hung out just the two of us in weeks, and they hang out all the fucking time."
"Valid reason to be mad."
"Right, except I didn't have to talk to them like that. Also, I don't even fucking know if I'm projecting. Am I jealous? That's so fucking lame."
"I don't think it's that, and if it is it's not the main reason you're upset."
"My head is just in a million places right now." She groaned, sniffling and wiping her tears.
"Why's that?"
"So, she's convinced herself that I want something more with Matt."
"I heard y'all are getting close."
"We're just friends!" Alicia sighed, crossing her arms.
"Well, do you want more than that?"
"I-I don't know." She mumbled, looking at Roy and frowning.
"Listen, I know you probably don't want to hear this right now, but you do have some commitment issues. Is the reason you don't want anything more because you don't like him, or is it because you're scared of him?" Roy asked.
"I'm scared of losing his friendship."
"Alicia, I know that letting people in is a big deal for you. Don't let your own anxiety get in the way of something that could actually make you happy."
"I should go to the house and apologize, I'm such a fucking bitch." Alicia mumbled, letting out a deep breath.
"I'll drive you, let's go."
They hopped in the car and drove over to the house, Alicia biting her lip nervously. The closer they got to the house, the more she wanted to turn around. She didn't want to lose her best friend, and she didn't want to lose Matt. She had a lot of talking to do.
